"Really? What did she say?" Akio asked. He saw that the roof was leaking a little bit and sighed, "Dang it... I'll have to go fix that."

She glanced at the dripping water smiling calmly. "She said that I looked like I was having twins. She thinks that they'll probably be a boy and a girl because that's what her twins were. But she's only guessing you know."

"Yeah it could be true though." Akio looked at her stomach for a minute and then moved over to give her a kiss, "Everything will be just fine. Have they been kicking at all lately?"

She nodded. "Yesterday, not really much today though."
'Probably because they're too busy trying to get out.' she thought, smiling a bit.

"Aw, but it's just really cute when they're active." Akio pulled Mizu up so she could sit on his lap closer to him. He loved holding her and telling her how much he loved her too.

"I'm a little nervous now. This is going to be... just a huge life changing thing."

"It will be. But you'll be a great father I know it." She said leaning against him, she loved to sit in his lap, it made her feel safer somehow. "Your a wonderful uncle."

"She probably doesn't think of me that way considering the fact that I up and left with you." Akio chuckled while trying to see if he could feel the baby kick. But he had a feeling that he wouldn't feel it anymore.

Akio stared at her for a really long time before laughing, "You're hilarious. I'll go get you some, hold on." He eased her onto the floor and then walked off to get her something to eat. He mentally reminded himself to lay out a comfortable futon for her just in case something came up.

She smiled as she slid onto the floor. "I know I am."
Then Mizu felt another contraction, and winced holding back a scream, she forced a smile and beneath it gritted her teeth. She wondered if it was supposed to hurt this bad.

"I'm back!" Akio sat down what she wanted in front of her, both on different plates though. "Did I tell you how pretty you look today? If not then I am now."

"I think that probably makes about ten times." She said laughing, the contractions were pretty far apart she guessed because she was no longer in pain again.
She dipped the cayenne pepper into the ice-cream and bit into it.

Akio got up and went to lay out the futons. It wasn't late but he wanted to be sure that everything was ready if the baby decided to arrive.

He couldn't wait but all the waiting they were doing was making him a little jittery.

Mizu chewed thoughtfully, it really wasn't half bad. Then she had another contraction, they were closer together now. It caused her to drop her half eaten cayenne pepper into her icecream bowl, and cry out in pain, she frowned.
"Er... It's really spicy?..." She tried, but then it seamed as soon as it let up another came merely to pain her more. "Ah!" She frowned no use hiding it now, it hurt way too much. "Ow...."

Akio nearly flew out of the room, thankfully he'd finished setting up for her and came out in time to hear her saying 'ow' which was a clear sign something was up.

"I'm here, what hurts?" He asked, getting down to pick up the bowl and the pepper.

She winced. "Ow... Umm... The baby's decided they wanted to come so... That's what hurts." She stood up. "I should probably lay down or something."

"Go ahead, the futon is out." Akio was trying to stay calm even though he knew everything would be okay. He was excited more than scared.

Mizu headed for the room, but ended up falling before she had walked two feet. "It really hurts..." She moaned.

Akio stopped what he was doing when he heard her fall. He helped her up and got her to the futon, wondering if it was normal for it to come on that fast.

"What should I do? What do I do now?"

"I don't know... I've never exactly had a baby before..." She frowned. "Well... Boil some water? Thats what they always say in books... I don't know what its for but..." Just then her water broke and fluid gushed out onto the futon. "Well... That was certainly exciting- Ow!" She shrieked the last part in a high pitched voice that would have probably hurt peoples ears across the street if it wasn't for all the rain.

Akio watched in fear at what happened and jumped up, "Shoot! That's not good, I think we messed up somewhere!" He had forgotten that having a baby wasn't like putting together furniture or installing software.

He went to the book shelf and pulled out a book. "Okay what happens next..."
