"I don't know. Have you felt anything happening besides pain or is it just pain?" Akio stood up and stretched. He'd have to get her out of the water soon but he didn't want her to be uncomfortable.

"Maybe." She said frowning. "I'm not really sure. Pretty much just pain I guess."

"Do you want to get out?" Akio realized half the conversation had been him asking questions. He got up and picked up a towel just in case and then went to find her a good nightgown to wear. He was still tired but anxious too.

"Not really but I probably should." She said with a sigh, and watched him leave.

"Back." He returned with something comfortable looking and laid it next to the tub, "Do you need help getting out or can you do it?" He asked.

His hands were shaky, reasonably so.

"Maybe." She said carefully standing up. She steadied herself with a hand against the wall, and stepped out of the bath. Then she took a towel and dried herself off before taking the night gown and slipping it on.

Akio chuckled lightly and then kissed her, "Still beautiful. I promise, you look gorgeous to me. It might be a bad time to say it but it's true." He took her hand gently and led her to the other room.

She just rolled her eyes, she was sure she looked horrible after everything that had happened though she didn't really care.

Akio had tried to make the futon look more comfortable but he wasn't sure it mattered anymore. He helped her lay down and then covered her with a look of satisfaction, "There! You should be okay for now. Do you need anything else?"

She shook her head. "Not really thanks." She said running her fingers across the blanket it was actually pretty soft. Then she felt something move she frowned, and felt the urge to push, she wondered if that was okay.
"Umm... I- AH!" She screamed as the pain intensified again. She grabbed Akio's arm squeezing hard.

Akio grunted a little when she did that. He had a feeling they were finally making some progress, "Don't scream, Mizu! Please, don't scream!"

He couldn't even get to his book anymore! D:

She squeezed his arm tighter and bit her lip, but in the end she screamed again. "I can't!" She shouted, crying now.

"Can't what?!" Akio exclaimed, "What do you mean? What are you feeling right now?"

"Stop screaming I can't stop." She shouted at him. "Pain!" She felt the urge to push again and just did, maybe it would be bad but she was tired and didn't care.

Akio hated to do this but he had to help or else she wouldn't do anything. He got supplies and returned with a basin and a few other things. There was warm water in it for the baby so he could clean it up.

His whole body shook when he managed to help deliver their first child, who was struggling to cry. Finally after cleaning out her mouth he listened to her wail loudly.

"There we go." He laughed, tears in his eyes. He'd never been so shaky his entire life.

Mizu was still in pain, she could tell another child was on his or her way. She sobbed. "Akio it hurts..."

"I know, I'm coming." Akio finished bathing their first baby who still whining and then he wrapped her in a blanket and laid her down. Doing this alone was very hard.

"You can do it, Mizu. It'll be over soon."

She just sobbed at him, and squeezed the futon sense he was out of reach.

"Don't hold your breath, okay?" Akio had calmed down considerably. He was just working and making sure everything went well, "Just push, it'll be over soon."

She didn't answer only continued crying.

Akio's face went from one of determination to horror. Their second wasn't breathing due to something around his neck.

"Shoot!" He shakily got it untangled and finished delivering so he could try to get him to breathe again. He was starting to cry, he was scared.

"Lord, please save him." He cried, it was the scariest moment of his life.

Mizu sat up tiredly to see what was going on. "Akio whats wrong?" She asked the pain was subsiding now.

"He's not breathing." Akio was sobbing as he tried to get his son to breathe. Big tears were rolling down his cheeks as he rubbed the baby's back.

"Lord, please." He cried.

"No...." Mizu's eyes grew wide. "Please no...." She stared feeling helpless. "God... Please... Save our child..." She was to scared to even cry, her baby was dying.

Akio prayed. He took his hand and patted the baby's back as hard as he could and then used his other hand to try and get fluid out of his throat.

"Come on little guy. You'll make it, come on."

Suddenly a tiny, sputtering cough escaped him. Immediately he cried as hard as he could.
