Akio looked at her, "But it says there are ways to handle it though! You aren't handling it right!" He couldn't exactly do this for her but he knew she was making it worse for herself, "It says breathe or take a bath!"

He frowned suddenly, "Wait... what?" He looked at it intensely.

"But it says in and out like, hee hoo, kind of like that?" Akio was shaking. He dropped the book and ran to their bathroom, turning on the hot water.

"Are you doing it?" He asked, he was trying but failing.

"Fine I'll take a stupid bath. You try having a baby some time it's not tea and cake!" She said trying to get up and failing she felt weak, she cried.

Akio helped her up and then ended up carrying her. Unfortunately he slipped and ended up getting them both soaked in bathwater. Clothing in all. He was trying really hard not to laugh though.

"I don't think I'll tell Iwa about this."

"I won't." He kissed her and then went to change his shirt. He was worried that he was trying too hard to make her feel better when he knew the best way to make her feel better was to just wait for the baby to come. He knew it would be a while.

She managed to pull off the wet clothes and toss them onto the floor outside the bath tub. Then she relaxed slightly. The water felt a little better.

"I'm so sorry." Akio said as he sat down on a chair near where she was, "I feel bad, I just... really I'm not experienced and I'm just..." He felt really horrible as if it was his fault everything had gone haywire.

She frowned at him. "Stupid. This isn't anyone's 'fault'. We're going to be parents soon probably. It's a good thing... Even though it doesn't feel like it to me at the moment."

Akio took her hand, "You're right. But I guess I could have handled it better? Are you comfortable?" He asked, looking slightly tired. He had dark circles under his eyes.

"Probably as comfortable as I'm going to be." She said with a sigh. "You look tired... You should probably sleep... I don't know how long it will take but I guess it can even take days sometimes?..."

"Days? Really?" He rubbed her back a little, "But your water already broke, isn't that a sign that it's closer?" Akio was new to this, figuring it out wouldn't be that easy. And he really didn't want to sleep... he needed to stay by her side.

"Like I said, I don't know. But I've heard that it happens for some people." She said frowning. "Kay's child didn't take that long I don't think though... I can't really remember at this particular moment."

"Kay had an emergency delivery though and she'd been in labor for a really long time before that." Akio sighed, "This is a lot different."

Akio got up quickly and brought over a pillow made especially for the bath and put it behind her, "Rest on that for a bit. Maybe you can try and take a little nap?"

"I don't think that's possible." She said but placed her head back against the pillow.

"We'll see." He got up and went to get some ice chips from the freezer and came back and set them at the edge of the bathtub. After that he leaned back in the chair and ended up dozing off.

Mizu smiled slightly as she watched him sleep. She felt kind of sorry for him, it was crazy. It seamed that the rain outside was only getting harder as well. There was no way they were going anywhere. The streets were probably insanely flooded at this point.

Akio opened his eyes and sat up straight. He still looked tired but he couldn't get full sleep because he had to be there for Mizu.

"Mizu... you doing okay?" He asked with a yawn.

"Yeah fine. Just insanely annoyed. How long is this going to take?" She had kind of gotten used to the pain now, so it wasn't so bad, sense it was a constant thing at this point.
