Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I gave a mumbled 'I understand' and continued on before it began to rain. I was still shaking, all the noise was gone after a couple hours of travel.
"Viann and... Gill were going to get married today..."
"Viann and... Gill were going to get married today..."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I nodded. "They were..." I said softly. "It saddens me that this happened." The rain was especially upsetting me. I didn't like that we were both getting cold and wet.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I choked back tears, I remembered back to a day when I never cried. I got frustrated but I never cried this much. Having close, loving friends was making me cry more. "I wanted... to see them marry."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"We'll see them marry still, don't worry." I said softly. "They wouldn't dare marry without us there."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"O-Okay..." I was so tired all of a sudden, the cold rain made me want to curl up under a blanket and hide for a while. "I'm sleepy... Julius..." I blinked, trying to keep my eyes open.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
The horse had stopped anyway, so I chewed at the strings and led her hands to the saddle horn. "Hold onto the horn while you get off." I said softly. "And go slowly. I can't catch you or help you if you fall." I said, feeling bad for that.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I nodded and did as he told me to. I eventually got off and ended up falling anyway because I was under so much stress. I laid on the ground with my eyes closed. "I'm okay, I just want to lay down."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I Jumped down and stood over her head to keep her face from getting drenched. "You can sleep?" I asked softly. "If you can, go ahead. I'll watch over you tonight."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"I don't know if I can sleep... I can still hear the shots..." I tried not to cry because I wanted to be strong and show him that I could be strong enough to handle disaster. I pushed myself up to sit and reached to hold Julius. "I wish we could go back... and find them. I miss Adelle..." I'd formed a really good friendship with her.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I let her hold me as tight as she wanted. I was worried about everyone though. I knew we would be okay, but would the others? I told myself they would be, but that was just to make myself feel better. "I miss them all." I hadn't been separated from them in two-hundred years. It was really hard.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"I'm so sorry." I hugged him gently and stroked his back, "I'm sorry... if I hadn't broken the curse then none of this would have happened to you all... I'm so sorry." I started to fall asleep sitting up. "I want to make it better..."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"No, this is better than being stuck as a statue. I promise." I said softly. "Just sleep, pretty lady."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I flopped over with him in my arms and fell asleep instantly. I couldn't cry anymore for the day, I had to save energy for tomorrow because I wasn't sure what we'd be facing.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
We were dry when I woke up in the morning. It dry and warm and sunny. Riona was hugging me tight and I cuddled against her. She was a sweetheart, and she was making me fall for her... probably without even knowing though. I decided to let her sleep until she woke up though.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I felt a little sore when I first woke up, from sleeping on the hard ground and there was actually a root under my side. "Good morning, Julius..." I scratched behind his ear and smiled, "Did you sleep well?" The memories of yesterday hadn't come crashing back yet.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I blinked tiredly. "Yes I did!" I lied. I only slept for half of the night... but I didn't want her to know that. I just nuzzled her.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I sat up straight and stretched tiredly, "I suppose I should try getting back on the horse..." I said, "so we can go." I really wanted to turn around and go back to the town to see if we could find our group. That was out of the question though.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I got off of her and jumped up onto the horse's saddle. "See me? I'm on the horse. See my paws? You need to put your hands there, then feel for the stirrup with your foot. You'll find it, I'm sure."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I put my hands where he told me to and felt for the stirrup like I did when Gill helped me get on before. I hoisted myself up easier this time than before. "Thank you." I felt for the reigns and then we took off. "Am I going the right way?"
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I nodded. "Yes! I feel it stronger now. We're really close." I said softly. I was getting excited. I wanted to be human again. And I wanted to just give Riona a great big hug.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I felt more encouraged when Julius said we were getting closer to the trinket he'd been talking about this whole time. He was up on my shoulder again acting as a guide. It was a good distraction from what happened as soon as the memories came back. In some ways I was glad I couldn't see.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
I nuzzled her ear every once in a while. I was tired, and worried... but I was no use to Marcus or Gill at that point. I would be useful though if I could only be human again.
The tugging, pulling feeling became strongest as we approached a little town. "I think it's in this town." I said softly.

Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"It's safe to go in here... it's safe." I was saying this mostly to myself because of what happened in the last town. I heard lots of talking but mostly laughter and conversation, nothing out of the ordinary. "How close are we now?" I asked.
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
"We're in the town. Turn right a little and then keep the horse straight. I know where it is now."
Re: Oh... this sounds similar.
We were right on top of it. I was getting more eager to see what was going to happen from here once we got the trinket. I kept going straight until I could see some sort of figure ahead, it was magical. "I think we finally found it!"
