"I want some of their lemonade." I said as I got in next to Kassie and kicked my foot up on Amanda's seat.

"Ugh, Keely! You know what Zack says about feet up here!"

"Foot."

"FOOT. Whatever."

I giggled and brought it back down, "So... Kassie! Did you sleep okay last night? I think Matisse likes you!"

I smiled and nodded some. "Once I fell asleep, I didn't wake up until you guys woke me up. And Matisse is sweet, I like her too."

"Oh that's good, oh man, wait until you try Zeph's cooking, you can't go eat any where else after you try that food!"

"Yeah only Keely won't eat it today, she's wimping out!"

"I am not! Mandy you are really asking for it today!"

"I know, I love picking on you, it's really my purpose in life."

I laughed softly at that. They were all meant to be together! Such a happy family. "I-I've heard talk about Zeph's, but I've never eaten there."

"Tragedy upon tragedies!" Katie exclaimed. "You will today!"

"It's becoming a tradition for all the guys in the family, well the ones left... to take girls on their first dates there. Actually... all the Harrison guys are married now except Sean, but he's a baby!" I said.

"No joke! Ian was first to get married, then Eli... Zack was kind of adopted into the family as a foster kid but he married Katie... but any guy that comes in has to take his girl to Zeph's. Also, if you go anywhere with any of us Zeph's is the eating place unless it's taco bell..."

"Mm, tacos." I grinned.

"Oh now you're hungry?"

"I'll puke, trust me."

I wanted to ask if she ever used that test, but it would be bad to ask. "It's really nice that you all have such a nice tradition." I smiled. "Those things are important."

"It all started with Mom and Dad, they really set forth family traditions on their own so all of this is still fairly recent! Grandma and Grandpa didn't really do anything but go to Zeph's because they knew his grandparents."

I nodded, "Long story! Um..." I glanced at Kassie and remembered last night, maybe I could tell them over breakfast.

"OH OH OH! THIS SONG!"

Amanda rolled down the windows and all I could hear was 'We are family' playing.

I laughed a little and watched Katie scream: "OUR SONG! OUR SONG!!"

I picked at my nails while the all listened to their song. It was nice and refreshing to see a family that was so close.

We arrived at Zeph's and the smell of food nearly knocked me back. After getting out of the car I was surprised just how deaf I felt after blasting music. Everyone else appeared to be on a high and I stuck close to Kassie so she wouldn't feel out of the loop.

"They are always like this," I whispered as we walked into the restaurant. "You'll probably be a different person by the end of the day if you just jump in and have a good time!"

"I'm not sure how." I said softly. "I've never done that before." I clasped my hands tightly. "I'm more accustomed to enjoying myself by listening."

"Oh okay, well if you want to jump into the conversation at all then don't hesitate, we always just joke around and have fun so don't worry about it!"

We got a table and Zeph came out to meet us, sporting some gray hairs I noticed. >.>

"Only taking drink orders today! Everything else is a surprise!"

"Lemonade please, and no food? I'm kinda sick..."

"Seriously? Okay. Mandy, Katie and new friend?"

"I want a sprite."

I ordered water and Katie ordered a green tea and said something about trying to be more healthy.

I glanced at everyone at the table. They were so happy to be here. I wanted to be too! =]

"Sooo!" After our drinks arrived I tapped my glass to get all their attention, "I have something I want to say... um... more like announce..." I hated having all eyes on me and was inclined to ask that they not stare. >____<

"I'm pregnant."

Amanda's jaw dropped, "WHAT?!"

"AH! I HAVE A MENTAL PICTURE I DON'T NEED OF YOU AND ELI!" Katie exclaimed.

And I was smiling. "I'm happy for you." I said softly. "You'll have a beautiful baby!"

"Eew Katie!" Amanda laughed, "That really explains all the crackers though, you poor thing! Your stomach is probably all messed up now!"

"I guess..." I smiled at Kassie, "Thanks!" I was on a high, even though I didn't look like it I was so excited and every time I thought about it my heart raced. I couldn't wait! <3

"When did you find out? How did Eli take it?"

I shrugged, "It wasn't really that big of a deal... I found out last night and it was kind of a quiet thing between us I guess..."

"Shouldn't you be happier?" Amanda asked.

"I think it's the fact that she doesn't feel well that's making her seem less excited." I said softly.

Katie nodded. "I want to name your child!"

"Oh that could be it, aww!" Amanda came around and hugged me, rocking me back and forth, "She looks so pitiful, how cuuuute!"

"Pay back for me putting my foot on the seat?"

"You bet."

"Ugh, I have a doctor appointment the day after tomorrow... I'm more scared than excited."

"Oh no! And Eli has exams that day!" Katie exclaimed. Maybe Hayden will go with you? She looked at me like I could help in some way.

"Eh... I guess I could ask him.."

"I'm not sure I want anyone to go with me... unless they just drop me off." I stirred the lemons around in my lemonade and Amanda just stared at me.

"Why not?"

"It's just a check up and an ultrasound..."

"Yeah an ultrasound, your first picture of the baby!"

"Still..."

I took her hand and smiled. "I think that if Eli can't make it, you should go alone. Only he should have the right of seeing the first picture of your baby before anyone else! Have someone drop you off, but I really do think it's wise to go alone."

"Kassie!" Katie exclaimed. "But it's her first baby! She shouldn't be alone!"

I shook my head. "Her husband should come first." I said softly. "Plus, won't it be less happy for her if someone goes when she doesn't want them to? Support her from afar and she will be fine."

I wanted to cry and figured it was probably just a lot of emotions and hormones but I couldn't help but cry after she said that. For once I didn't feel overwhelmed and forced into something, I felt so awkward being surrounded by people asking questions and the idea of them cooing over my baby before Eli even got a chance to was crushing me.

Amanda sighed, "I guess I can try to understand, if I was having a baby with Aaron I'd want him to know first."

"If it's okay... I'll just have you drop me off, okay?" I asked Katie.

She sighed a little and nodded. "Yeah, I-I guess. Maybe my car will be out of the shop by then!"

I smiled a little. I didn't like to see people forced into things. And soon enough, that Zeph guy brought us our food and drinks. "Curry?" I smiled. I liked curry a lot! <3

I smiled at Kassie giving her a silent thank you for stepping into the picture that way, I appreciated her and had a lot of respect for her because unlike me... she was able make my family realize that they were kind of pushy, of course if it weren't for Amanda being in the hospital I wouldn't have met Eli, I had to love them.

Zeph brought me chicken noodle soup... I could only stare at it and wish my stomach wasn't hurting...

"Oh wow, chicken fettucini, thank you!" Amanda exclaimed.

Katie grinned at her clam chowder and I smiled back at Keely. "So you married into the Harrisons?" I asked softly.

"Yeah, originally I was a Burke. Katie was born Harrison and now she's McGregor and Amanda is still a Harrison." I pointed to both of them. I was about to say 'if you marry my brother you'll get to be a Burke!' but then I realized they weren't even dating or close to that, they'd not even known each other a full day yet!
