"Well there you have it!" Amanda said as she patted her hand on the table next to her salad, "He's all yours and he's responsible enough to atone for his actions, good man! Also he's becoming a cop, I think you'll be well taken care of!"

"Oh wow, a cop?!" I gaped.

"Yup, picture Ian with a gun..."

Silence, we were all picturing it. *___*

I was the first to giggle. "I can't wait to see him in the newspaper for catching a robber or something!" I said. "Oh... he'll be a great cop!"

Somehow I managed to jump out of the conversation and just listen to them talk, I had so much on my mind and suddenly I just wanted to be alone or asleep somewhere.

Anything to pass the time.

I faked sleeping to keep anyone from talking to me. There were too many people who wanted to talk and all I wanted was some time with Keely... but she wasn't back yet. Grr...

I came back in quietly and could see a bit of frustration on his face as I entered the room and closed the door quietly, I wanted to tell him I'd brought food but with his stomach being injured I wondered if he'd even want to eat.

I opened my eyes a hair and sighed when I saw it was Keely. I sat up and stared at her. "Woah, the girls went all out! You look really beautiful." I said with a warm smile. She was so sweet... and cute too. <3

I blushed a little and held out the sandwich bag, "Th-Thanks! I brought you some food!" I had decided to just finish eating when I got there so we could still eat together.

I grinned and pointed to the Braves bear in the chair. "Sorry, but you'll have to sit in the chair. She just got a bath and is drying out." I grinned. Also, I wanted to give her a hug and her sitting next to me was a perfect excuse! >3 I scooted over to give her room beside me and patted the bed.

I sat down and rested my head against his shoulder, "Are you feeling okay?" I asked as I began to unwrap what was left of my sandwich.

I hugged her suddenly and kissed her cheek. "Much better now because I know you're not going to hound me with questions about what happened." I smiled and pulled my sandwich out, unwrapping it too.

I nodded. "And a hero too. You saved me." I grinned at her. "Thank you, beautiful. Oh, and what kind of earring were those that the guy took?"

"Very old earrings... they belonged to my grandmother." I admitted, "I'm not going to get them back though, they were sterling silver with garnets in them..."

"I see... is that your birth stone or your grandmother's... or...?" I noticed she was eating the tomatoes and I didn't like them, so I set them on her paper with a smile.

"Um we were born the same month so yeah." I smiled, "She died two years ago so I feel really bad for giving them up so easily... I wish I hadn't."

I nodded. "I understand. I hate that you gave them up, but they saved you, ya know?" I smiled. "I'm sure your Grandmother isn't mad at all, though you might be."

I felt reassured by that, "You're probably right... it stifled him for a moment anyway..." I laughed and then bit down on my sandwich.

"I didn't really see you as the crying type..." I commented, eating his tomatoes for him and then tossing the wrapper in the trash, scoring a goal! 8D
