I squealed and walked over to his dad first and fell into his arms because again I just kept wearing myself out, "I missed you all! Aww, I can't believe you did all of this for me!" I started to cry, it felt so... amazing, the love they all showed and all of that made me not want to leave home again for a long time!

"We've missed you too!" I said. "And I've definitely missed coming to your house to visit and being glared at by Elijah, this should be fun!"

Dad hugged her tight and I could have sworn I saw a tear or two. "I can't believe that you can't believe it. You're very much loved, Amanda. Neither of our families can imagine ourselves without you."

Mom nodded and hugged her from behind. "I love you too, sweetheart. We all love you."

Katie joined in on the hug and Andy sighed because she was too big. I stood beside Daddy-K and smiled. I loved our families.

I was wrapped in hugs from everyone, a giant group hug and then I stated that I had to sit down, still too tired to do a lot of walking just yet. I got another soda and we all spent time catching up and trying not to cry so much, it was wonderful to be home.

Then Zack came in, he really had gotten taller! 8O

"MANDY!" He exclaimed right after Ian finished giving hugs. More hugs ensued!

I yawned and looked up at the clouds in the sky. "It's getting dark, so the fluffy white rabbit looks evil and vicious now. I'm almost scared of it.." I commented with a soft chuckle. "What do you think?" I asked Keely who was beside me. We'd been walking the block for a while, waiting for Katie and Amanda to come home.

"I think it's just melting from the hot sun beating against it the way it's been all day." I said, my thigh was getting really tired after so much walking and I just wanted to lose the prosthetic and lay down or something. "I'm starving, I think we've lost track of time."

I sighed. "I think so too." I studied her a bit as she walked and tilted my head. "Is your leg okay? It looks like you're limping a bit."

"Sometimes it hurts... I don't think I'll ever get used to it." He was showing concern which surprised me a little, I wasn't used to guys I barely knew paying attention to the way I walked.

"Oh," I took her hand and smiled. "Well, use me to hold yourself up so it doesn't hurt so bad." I said softly. That way your thigh won't get so sore."

There it went again, my throat and stomach were completely in knots and I couldn't even speak when I actually felt myself leaning against his arm. Chills rolled up my spine rapidly and I almost shivered in response, but then he'd know I was freaking out.

I squeezed her hand before releasing it to relocate my arm around her waist. "Saturday is in two days... are you free to go to the mall with me?" I asked.

At first I wasn't sure he was really talking and then I heard him ask about the mall and looked at him in surprise, "What is happening Saturday a-at the mall?" I asked, or maybe it was just that he wanted to hang out with me.

I shrugged. "I'm not sure! Hopefully something pretty cool. I'd hate to bring you to the mall and nothing worth-while happen."

"That sounds like fun actually, I'm not busy on Saturday... it's actually my day off from painting so I think it's a good day to go to the mall." I had never been invited out by a guy before and then it occurred to me.

"Is this a date?"

"Kinda..." My voice was so high it was practically a whisper, "K-Kinda... ahh..." I felt my face burning up and my stomach hurt really bad.

"Then... it's a date." I said warmly. "Ah, I hope it's a good one. I've never taken a girl out before so I wouldn't know..."

"I've never dated anyone so I don't know how it works... and I'm kind of scared to ask any of the girls in your family because they seem to be overly excited about that kind of stuff..." I blushed.

"Mm... they can be..." I let out a small sigh. "So, lets try and keep it a secret for while, until you get to know them better, understand why they're excited about dating."

I couldn't comprehend why everyone was that way but I guess I'd learn eventually. "I need to sit down..." I said and crashed on the front porch, I was so sore.

"Okay," I took a seat beside her. "So, do you want to meet at the mall, or do you want me to pick you up?" I asked soft enough for only Keely to hear.

"Maybe we should meet at the mall... I don't think I'm quite ready for you to meet my dad yet, he likes to do background checks..." I smiled awkwardly.

"Alright then, I'll meet you at the mall and just pretend I picked you up!" I laughed. I was trying to figure out the best way to keep from telling my family that I could quite possibly be dating Keely. It would be hard to keep them from finding out.

"Yeah, we could!" I smiled. "Or walk. The mall isn't far from our house." I glanced at her leg again. "I really like your leg, but I didn't think about how it could hurt you. Does it rub your thigh wrong or does it just put a lot of strain on it?" I asked, curiosity and concern mixing together.

That concern again, wow. I frowned a little and then sat up straighter, sticking it out straight so I could look at it better, "A little bit of both, less of the rubbing it wrong though, I keep bandage over it so my skin doesn't go raw on me. Why?" I asked.
