I smiled a little. "Sorry... but these appointments always make us really nervous..." I replied, taking in a shaky breath.

"I can understand why. We get a lot in here who have to be monitored closely but you guys have been doing very well." She got stared and that was about the moment I would look as close as I could.

"I can't see it."

"You will." She pressed a couple buttons.

"Now?"

"Hold on, Mr. Drake."

My patience was running low but I held my breath.

I giggled at his antics... as always. I couldn't wait. "I can't wait to start thinking more closely about names!"

I listened closely when she turned up the sound. The heartbeat was something I looked forward to every visit. It was like music.

"There's your baby. If I can get little one to turn here maybe we can see the gender, huh?"

Oh gosh. Turn! Please turn!

I waited, she was watching and I could see her smile, "Okay there we go. Those feet are definitely kicking there... and..."

I was about to explode, "Gender?"

"Definitely a little Matthew in there. He's going to be a tough guy!"

I felt numb. A big smile was growing on me and I knew it.

I squealed. "A LITTLE BOY!! YAY!" I would have been excited for anything though. "Maybe I'll be a soccer mom! <3"

I laughed and kissed her cheek warmly, I was so excited beyond words! She began to clean up and then printed out a few pictures for us. I was learning how to make out what was the baby and what wasn't so I could see it so much better this time.

"Look at him... wow." I was really in awe. Shaking, thinking of the future. It made me so excited.

I know it's going to be amazing! We were walking out of the back and there were lots of nervous couples out there. I was tempted to shout about my excitement but I kept my voice down. Life was just getting better and better! I couldn't see anything going wrong from here out!

"William is a really strong name! William Isaac Drake? Does that sound good?" I was curious if that name fit well together or not.

"It's a good strong name! Unlike Dan's -" I stopped there and looked off, "Never mind, we won't go there. Anyway, things are just going to get better and better!"

I prayed harder at that point. I didn't want anything to go wrong.

"I can't go on tour right now. No I'll definitely make up for it later, I just can't take Rae because she's pregnant and..."

I listened to Dan ramble but he was starting to agree, "Thanks. I can do it later, I promise. It's just crucial that I take care of her right now. Bye."

I hung up my cell and went back to working on baby stuff. It was very busy.

I was fixing lunch. I was the seventh month of my pregnancy and everything was going perfect! "I'm making pancakes for lunch!" I called out the kitchen. "Want a Mickey Mouse one?"

"Doesn't matter to me! I'll just rip off his ears and eat them!" I was still like that, but I would have to calm down when the baby got old enough to complain about me dissing characters. Oh well. I didn't tell her about the tour. It wasn't important.

I laughed. "Alright then! Mickey mouse it is!" I turned around and poured a Mickey Mouse shaped glob onto the skillet. "Warm syrup, or cold?"

I sat down and looked right at her, "So how are you feeling today?" I ventured, still staying away form the tour thing.

"Warm." I heard myself thinking it but apparently didn't say it. I was relieved to hear her say she was doing well, "I'm actually feeling really shaky. We're getting so close."

I nodded and patted my stomach."Me too... Oh, I found something out about a verse in the Bible! I'm excited! It was all on my own!"

"Really? Do tell." I loved it when she would talk about the Bible with me. She was really a growing believer and I loved that. I momentarily spotted where her hand was and chuckled, but said nothing about it. We were both excited.

"Yeah! You know that verse where it says 'An eye for an eye'...? Well, apparently it only pertains to pregnant women! People just are taking it out of context! I was so excited when I figured that out!" I stated with a huge grin.

I tilted my head, "Huh? How's that?" I waited to hear her explanation. I wasn't really sure what she was talking about at all.

I whipped out my hot pink Bible that seemed to be wherever I was. I flipped the pancake then fixed his plate and set it in front of him. "Now, Exodus twenty-one, twenty-two through twenty-five. 'When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman's husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. BUT if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life, eyes for eye, tooth for tooth, hand fo hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.' See? it doesn't say anything about anyone else! It goes down further to was if they eye of a slave is lost or something bad happens to the slave, he is to be released to compensate for it. But it says nothing about eye for eye for anything other than pregnant women!"
