I stepped into the jewelry store, wide-eyed. So many sparkles!

[Ikuar]

"Hi!" The older lady there glanced at the clock and moved forward, "Sorry, but what's your name? I'm expecting someone about now."

I glanced at Rae. Lot's of new friends today huh? O3O

[Jayrin]

"Um... Rae. My name is Rae." I said with a smile.

[Ikuar]

"Oh good!" She pulled out a long black box and laid it in front of Rae. Another note was on it.

I imagine you look like an angel by now but I want you to wear this too. At the last minute however I changed some plans and you are to arrive around 4:30 at the lake in the park. This is your last clue so make sure to be on time! I can't wait to see you! ;D

I raised an eyebrow and opened the box to nearly faint. Oh Matt... you have got to be kidding me! I thought as I stared at the beautiful necklace he had bought me. It was a simple silver chain with a small diamond cross pendant with a ruby heart in the middle of it.

"N-No way..." I breathed, unable to prevent myself from grinning like an idiot.

[Ikuar]

I wanted to cry. She was being treated like a princess and she still had a very big thing coming. I couldn't wait to drop her off at the park!

"Rae, we have about ten minutes."

[Jayrin]

I nodded and quickly put the necklace on. "Thank you!" I said to the clerk before heading out the door with Kay. I was on the verge of tears at this point. I was barely holding myself together. I was having the time of my life... but I still wasn't sure what the huge occasion was. After all, my birthday wasn't for another three months.

[Ikuar]

I waved goodbye after dropping her off at the park. Sadly I wasn't going to witness this event but I'd get to hear about it later.

I looked at my watch. Dan had driven off about five minutes ago and Rae was due to show up soon. When I saw Kay's car I knew she was here and I had a feeling she looked beautiful. I was anxious, a little nervous but over all excited.

[Jayrin]

I walked cautiously (and a little shyly) toward the lake. I could already see Matt across the way. What did he have in mind? He had me all nervous and worked up.

[Ikuar]

I think my jaw dropped to the ground when I saw her. Everything looked beautiful on her and she was just gorgeous! I walked up to her and wrapped her in a hug.

"You look amazing. Did you have fun?" I asked, caressing her cheek before giving her a kiss.

[Jayrin]

I nodded a bit. "Mhm... I missed you more the closer I got though..." I whispered, sinking into his embrace. He smelled so good.

[Ikuar]

I kissed the top of her head and then nudged her back a little, "I forgot. There was one more clue to your scavenger hunt. You've made it to the end but to get your last gift, all you have to do is say yes." I got down on one knee, "Will you marry me?" I opened the box with the elegant little ring with one small diamond on the top inside. I couldn't stop smiling.

I stared at him for what seemed like forever. All I could do was nod my head because the tears finally came. I'm sorry, Matt... but I'm having a hard time saying anything right now.

I was literally sobbing as my head quickly moved up and down.

[Ikuar]

I took her hand and slipped the ring on her finger. I stood up and wrapped her in an embrace, kissing her head again while I did.

"Don't cry too hard, okay? We still have to eat dinner together." I chuckled. She was precious and I couldn't help but shed a few tears myself.

[Jayrin]

I nodded and tried to calm down a bit. It worked and I wasn't sobbing anymore, but I was still crying.

"I love you so much..." The words came out as a little whine. "Th-thank you."

I would forever remember this moment.

[Ikuar]

A few months later we were still planning the wedding but there were things that we had to accomplish before that. Close as it was we wanted to have a place to come home to. I had three weeks left on my own apartment lease and was planning on moving out when it ended. I had a week to get my stuff out, thankfully!

So I planned to house hunt with Rae. That would be either fun or tiring.

[Jayrin]

I looked around the master bedroom and sighed. "Memories were made in this room. If only the kitchen were bigger..."

[Ikuar]

"It's not too big a deal really. It's only the two of us and we don't really plan on having kids for a long time to come still. But we'll keep looking just in case." I was actually laying on the floor picturing a future, trying to anyway.

[Jayrin]

I looked down at him and smiled. "True... it is a nice house other than the kitchen. With remodeling, it could be a dream home." I laid down beside him. "What are you staring at? Is the ceiling really that interesting?"

[Ikuar]

"I was trying to picture laying in bed with you in this room." I answered, "Sorry about that but it's really hard to picture that with laying on the floor."

[Jayrin]

I think I turned a bit red. "Oh really? It'll be nice... I just know it."

[Ikuar]

"Alright I'm up. Let's get on our way shall we?" I hoped we could make a decision within three weeks. I didn't want to renew my lease at all. And even if we didn't I'd just move somewhere temporary. Hmm.

"What's next on the list?"

[Jayrin]

"Hmm... I don't know. There's a house for sale down the street... why don't we look at it?" I asked, grabbing his arm and pulling myself to my feet.

[Ikuar]

"Sounds good. Although I think I'd really like the space after the front door to be tile or wood floored... easier to clean up." I smiled, "So if we find a place and it doesn't have that I'll redo it." I was really thinking ahead.

[Jayrin]

"I agree. That's the dirtiest spot in any house. And I know we aren't planning on having kids for a while... but... I want a big kitchen... so when they do come, they can cook with me." I said, turning a bit red. It was always kind of awkward when we talked about kids.
