"I love you too...." Miranda's sleepy voice drifted off, she woke up long enough to acknowledge his words and then she slept again.

Owen chuckled a little bit and got up on his feet and got dressed, then made sure his lovely wife was all tucked in. Then he walked outside and saw a rather unusual sight he'd never think to see in his life. Hika was sleeping right on top of Draco, both of them were purring in their sleep as well. "Wow..."

A couple months later, the house was complete, with an added space for the dragons. Miranda had decorated nicely and she loved it. She also loved taking care of Hika, who was turning out to be really protective - more recently.

Owen shot awake when he fell off of Draco and onto the floor. "I hate rolling off of you when I was napping..."

"Hrmph... then don't nap on me." Draco chuckled.

"But... you're so comfy..." He looked over at Hika, and looked her over. She seemed to be... bigger than usual.

Miranda was bathing Hika, the two of them often played in the streams, but lately they were content to just sit in the water and talk.

"Your Mira seems quiet lately, is she sick?" Draco ventured, he didn't seem too concerned about Hika, he knew already what was going on with her.

"Hm? I'm not certain... she's been sick in the mornings, but she says it's just a bug." Owen shrugged. "Between you and me though, her stomach seems a little less flat... I think she's pregnant." He took a seat on Draco's claw and yawned. "What's up with Hika? She's been a bit odd lately too."

Draco perked up proudly, "Hika is... She's always uncomfortable lately, I will probably take her to the fairies in a week or so... Wait, what? Mira... Will she be okay? A half elven child..." Draco seemed stunned.

Owen stared at Draco in surprise, then snorted a bit. "Both of us? Wow... yeah, I don't think it'll be that bad of a pregnancy. I haven't heard any horror stories about it."

Draco huffed, "That is because you don't ask you anti-social man... But yes, only you don't have to send off your young to riders... I wish you had a child sooner." Draco seemed rather flustered, especially after watching Hika's discomfort again. She was definitely pregnant.

"I wonder if she understands..."

"Well, the eggs won't hatch for another year or so... right? So maybe... maybe our child will be able to be there for the hatching ceremony." He leaned against Draco''s head. "I don't want to see them go either..."

Draco smiled, "That's true... You are very encouraging. You and Mira should come with me when I take Hika to see the fairies. I would miss you both too much."

"Ah, Mira has to go anyway to be blessed. We promised the queen that we would. We'll just go with you then." Owen grinned. "Your hatchlings will be beautiful, Draco. There's no doubt."

Draco smiled proudly, "Thank you, I can't wait to see your children! I am impressed that you found a lady!"

"Aw, thanks.... Hey!!" Owen frowned. "You found your lady just two months ago!" He sighed then. "You do realize how close we were to being a thousand before finding out loves, don't you?"

"Well sorry you took offense! It's just an impressive accomplishment!" Draco looked away when Miranda climbed out of the stream, she did look different, she didn't seem to notice too much though.

Owen didn't bother looking away. He just grinned to his lady and ran to her. He wrapped her in a towel and planted a kiss on her lips. "How are you feeling?"

Miranda gasped and took his shirt from him, covering herself without thinking about it.

"I am fine! You startled me, Owen!!" She was extremely red in the face and shivering, "I am feeling nauseous again, can you get me something comfy to wear? I want to lay in the sun for a bit..."

Owen looked her over for a moment. "How do you have my shirt...?" He shook his head then and sighed. "Nevermind. I'll get you something comfy." He draped the towel over her head and kissed her cheek. "I'll be right back!"

Miranda smiled dreamily and wrapped her arms around her stomach, life was changing everyday for them. "Hika, Draco is giving you that worried look again."

"I'm always worried about her..." Draco rumbled and walked over to her. "My love, are you feeling well?"

Hika was laying in the grass and perked up when Draco came to visit.

"I feel uncomfortable, but I am fine. Miranda made me sparkle, do you love it?" She asked, changing the subject.

"I do love it. You are so beautiful... and you're sparkling so much." He laid down beside her and gently nuzzled her. "I've never known a more beautiful lady."

Hika looked pleasantly surprised even though she knew how he felt about her. "You're so doting... I really love you."

Miranda smiled softly at them, she had a vague idea of what her dragon was going through. However, she chose not to pry.

"Mmn... I love you too." Draco licked her cheek. "I'm glad you crashed into me."

Owen ran out at that time, holding a bundle of clothes and blankets for nap time. "I'm here, my beauty!!"

"I am too, thank you for loving me!" Hika smiled suddenly and looked at Draco with playful eyes.
"Draco, I think I am... Mm... Pregnant..."

"Hello!" Miranda accepted the clothes and changed quietly, the fabrics showed how her belly was shaped, in fact, her clothes were a little snug. "All better!"
