I blushed and rubbed the back of my neck, "Ahh... he rescued me from my abusive captor... I've been living in a cold ten for the past ten months." I explained softly.

[Jayrin]

"Oh, really?" I glanced back at the door and smiled. "He's a sweetheart. He's always helping people and then gets all awkward when they try to help him... it's really funny to watch, actually!" I laughed and began checking on her, and feeling her belly to make sure it wasn't too stiff. "Hmm... given your conditions... you seem alright enough, but I suggest a lot of bed rest. Do you have a place to stay? You can stay with Kyrn. He has a few extra rooms, and I'm sure he won't mind having a pretty lady there. Especially since he'll have to help you a lot. He likes helping. Anyway, no cooking, or cleaning, unless you're sitting in a chair and not bending over too much or straining your back while doing it."

I smiled a bit in relief, that was good to know. "Thank you, Kayla... I'll stay off my feet as much as possible! Do you want me to come again soon?" I asked, still happy to know that I'd have a safe place to stay! I just hoped that my captor wouldn't come looking for me.

[Jayrin]

I smiled and nodded. "Please do! Or I can just drop by and check on you! Anyway, you're free to go to bed! Oh, do you know how to do a simple bandage?"

[Ikuar]

"Thank you so much, I can come to see you! A little fresh air never hurts!" I said and then responded to her last question, "I do! Is it about Kyrn's hand?"

[Jayrin]

I sighed, and nodded. "Yes... he doesn't like to be doctored, but I have a feeling he can't say no to you. So..." I handed her a basket of supplies. "Here you go! Put this medicine on! It will burn, but it will keep it from getting infected!" I opened the door for her. "Byyye! Kyrn." I frowned at him. "Take care of that hand."

I laughed, "I'll make sure he does!" After the door shut I looked at him and grinned, "It looks like I'm staying with you!"

[Jayrin]

"O-Oh! That's great!" I smiled, feeling kind of awkward. She smiled so pretty. "What is that basket for...?"

[Ikuar]

"Supplies to bandage your hand, I'll take care of it!" I grinned widely, "I hope you don't mind!"

[Jayrin]

"Um... uh..." I gulped some. "I-I... I don't mind... I guess... if you really want to..."

[Ikuar]

"I don't mind at all! So where do you live?" I asked.

[Jayrin]

We stepped outside and I pointed to a small house on the edge of town. "See that blue house way back there? It's where I live. It should only be about a ten minute walk."

[Ikuar]

"Oh how cute! I love it!" I linked my arm to his, "Can I see your hand?"

[Jayrin]

I gulped and felt my face heat up. I showed my hand to her as we walked. It was bloody, swollen, crusty, and sore. "See? It's really not a-all that bad." She'd linked arms with me! What was I supposed to do? How to respond? She was so sweet, and I liked having our arms linked, actually, but it made me feel nervous. I wasn't sure if she was being friendly, or if she was interested in me. >.<

Though, I guessed it'd not be uncommon to like the person who saved you. I gulped again and glanced at her. She had such a pretty face... even when frowning at my nasty looking hand.

[Ikuar]

"Let's stop here and fix it then." I found a bench and we sat down. His hand looked awful but with a little love and care I could make it better! I put the medicine on it after I cleaned it and then wrapped it up tight with bandages. "There, it might sting for a little while, you really broke skin!"

[Jayrin]

It hurt even worse now, but I tried not to show it. "Yeah, I hit him as hard as I could." I said with a slight smile. "Thank you though, it feels better already!" I didn't want to make her feel bad by telling her it hurt even worse because of the medicine. >.>

[Ikuar]

"That's good! I guess we should be on our way then!" Kyrn looked handsome, he had amazing eyes that I couldn't stop staring into and my heart raced wildly. Because of this my face was turning red.

[Jayrin]

I smiled and stood up, holding out my hand to here to help her up. "We should be. I'm sure you need some rest."

[Ikuar]

"I do, thank you so much for being considerate... I haven't met someone like that in quite some time." I tried to stop blushing as my hand clasped to his and then he pulled me up carefully. His touch was so warm and gentle, I got butterflies instantly.

[Jayrin]

"Ah, y-you're welcome." I smiled and led her onward. She kept flattering me, and it was making me feel... I don't know... good and happy, but almost nervous too. Nervous that I might slip up and make her feel differently. I had a lot to live up to now, and I really didn't want to let her down. "But that's just how I am... you don't have to thank me for it..."

[Ikuar]

"But you deserve my thanks... I wish I could repay you somehow." I blushed again, he looked a little bit flustered as well.

[Jayrin]

"Y-You don't have to... really. I like helping people out! I don't do it for the reward or anything..." She was blushing... and it made her even cuter. >.<

I glanced away from her and back down the path so I wouldn't end up walking into something because I was staring at her. 8|

[Ikuar]

"If you insist but I'd love to cook for you one day if you like... when I'm off bed rest." He nudged me out of the way when he'd almost crashed into a pole himself, I was concerned. I let go of his arm so he would stop being flustered.

[Jayrin]

She let go of my arm. I gulped some when she did and tried to figure out what to do with my arms after that. "I'd love that. I'm sure you cook really well!"

[Ikuar]

"Y-Yeah, I love to cook! I am going to be so bored though, I'll need a lot of books. Do you like to read? I like to read often but I haven't read in such a long time!" I was starting to get too chatty but I didn't mind and I didn't think he minded either!
