I live in a Tent

Just recently but before I lived in a house, an average house until I was taken captive by an insane man. It happened so quickly that I can't even remember when but he took me by force and since then has been calling me his wife and making me do his bidding around the castle and yet I live in a tent in the loft on my own. It's very cold and at night I curl up next to a candle hoping the heat will somehow manifest into comforting warmth but it never does.

Living this way has been a nightmare. Time only passes slowly and I fail to recognize what season it is as the curtains are often closed tight. So it's dark.

Very dark and very cold. I woke up early I assume just by the sounds of birds outside and decided to go ahead and make breakfast for my captor. It was routine and so far I'd complied or else he'd grow angry with me.

"Eggs again?" I frowned. "Isn't there anything else you can make? We have the same thing every morning. Eggs, grits, and toast. Can't we have something different for a change?" I sighed, picking at the eggs on my plate. I was tired of them.

[Ikuar]

"It's really all we have." I frowned, I hated the smell of eggs, it made me so ill but I cooked them for him all the time because it was all we had. "It's not as though I can go to market and pick up new supplies."

[Jayrin]

"Is that supposed be a stab against me?" I frowned at her. "Fine, I'll take you to the market this afternoon, and you can buy any food you need to prepare something other than this!"

[Ikuar]

"Well fine then!" I often provoked him but he was born a tyrant... I hated him so much but I never voiced my opinion. I was his 'wife' so there was nothing I could say. I couldn't even fight against him when he took me to his bed and the child I carried belonged to him. But I couldn't fault the baby, no, I loved him or her... just not the father.

"I'm going to get dressed!" >(

I glared at her. "FINE! And hurry up!!" I frowned and got up and walked off to my room to get dressed too. Stupid woman. She was pretty, but that was all she had going for her. She should be glad I took her in.

[Ikuar]

I changed into something fitting and comfortable... as comfortable as it could get I supposed. After slipping on some shoes I walked or waddled back down the stairs to meet him at the front. "I plan to buy at least two weeks worth of items for meals."

[Jayrin]

"Fine. As long as it isn't the exact same thing every day." I walked outside and climbed into the wagon I had prepared to take us to town.

[Ikuar]

What was the point of getting me pregnant and treating me like dirt at the same time? I was very confused. And when I told him he didn't really react to it in any fashion other than... nothing. He didn't care. I sat down and rested my hands in my lap.

"I don't understand you." I said scathingly.

[Jayrin]

"What don't you understand? I've given you a home, and a purpose, out of the kindness of my heart. I even gave you a baby since you said you were lonely." I frowned at her. She wanted something else and I knew it. "You don't have the fear of whether or not you'll be able to feed yourself, either."

[Ikuar]

"Yes but I have no warmth as I live in a tent in the loft." I glared at him, "The baby nor I will survive in the temperatures so your actions are null and void." I was still quite angry with him. Ungrateful man.

[Jayrin]

"You want more blankets then? Fine! I'll get you more blankets!" I sighed. "You can ask without having to be so rude about it."

[Ikuar]

"I want a real bed in one of your many rooms. Somewhere in your life you failed to learn how to treat a woman. Your child is uncomfortable, you fool." >(

[Jayrin]

I glared at her angrily. "The day you get a bed in my house again, is the day you learn to be a wife, and shut up!" I growled. "Or did you forget so quickly why I put you there in the first place?!"

[Ikuar]

"It may have slipped my mind, but I don't understand why you'd want me in the first place if you don't even want to sleep with me. Of course it could be that I got pregnant and you don't like how I look anymore."

[Jayrin]

Of course she didn't understand. She didn't have a very good head on her shoulders, and that's why I was kind and took her in. "You don't have to understand it."

[Ikuar]

"It's not that I don't, it's that you don't have a good reason and you are embarrassed to tell me." I crossed my arms over my chest and then we arrived at the market. "Excuse me, your highness."

[Jayrin]

I followed her out and grabbed her by the arm. I leaned in close and glared at her. "Don't push me any more, or you will regret it." I growled. Idiot woman.

[Ikuar]

"HELP OOOH HELP I'M BEING HARASSED!" I screamed and people looked on instantly.

[Jayrin]

I looked up at all the peopled and smiled. "Excuse my wife! She's just a little bit angry with me over something! It isn't your concern!"

"Angry how?" I saw a young man walk up to us and he glared at me. "What is she angry about?"

[Ikuar]

"He's grabbing my arm much too tightly, and he makes me sleep in a tent at night in a cold loft!" I sobbed, "I want to get away from him but he won't let me go!"

I was going to get beaten if no one believed my cries. This is why he never took me to town.

[Jayrin]

"Is this true?" I glared at me.

"What?" I frowned. "W-What kind of man would do that to his wife?" I laughed. "Especially one as nice and beautiful as this?"

"Well... I'm not sure... but you're kind of strange... and why are you wearing something really expensive looking while she's... wearing rags?"

I shrugged. "She says they're comfortable!"

[Ikuar]

"That is a lie! Let go of my arm, you're hurting me!" I tried to break free but his grip was too strong. I hoped someone could help me, this was terrifying. I couldn't take another day!

[Jayrin]

"Augh, I'm sorry, she just... lies like this a lot. I'm not sure what to do with her sometimes!" I laughed nervously.

He frowned. "I'm not sure she's the one who's lying. I mean... she looks terrified, and you can't fake that kind of fear. Just let go of her."

"Why? She's my wife!"

"I don't see you two wearing rings..."

"I don't have to prove anything to the likes of you!" I growled.

"O-Oooow!!" I cried, he was hurting me and my stomach was hurting, "Let go of me please, I can't feel my fingers!" I tried to break away from his grasp, "Nghh..." Then I had an idea so I clutched my belly with one hand and dropped to my knees, "Oow! I think something is wrong with the baby!"
