Re: Her Sheltered Life
I let her down and took her into my arms so we could kiss and the men seemed to be even more annoyed. I got her back on my back and hoisted her up.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I'm sure my face was totally red. That wasn't just any kiss! >.< That kiss was... well, I mean... it made me blush!! My face was red hot and I was hugging him tight. "Kiss my like that again tonight please." I asked softly. "I liked that kiss the best."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Okay, will do!" I felt my legs getting tired already, that wasn't really normal for me... of course trips like this were pretty rare.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I smiled happily. I was already promised another amazing kiss! I really had to make sure I didn't smell so bad. Maybe there would be another stream nearby where we would camp. Then maybe I could take some form of a bath... maybe. But then again, Zephyr probably wouldn't let me.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
The next day things started to really seem different, we found some form of a door and Lora and I just watched the men study it.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"You!" One of the men screamed and grabbed my arm, pulling me to the door. "Read that!"
He pointed to a fairly long inscription. I read it over a few times and frowned, shaking my head. "I'm sorry, I can't."
"What do you mean you can't?!"
I shrugged. "It's ancient, this inscription. We've stopped using that language ages ago. Even the royal family has stopped passing on the language of our ancestors. I'm sorry, but I can't help you."

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I frowned, I could see something in her eyes that said she was lying about not being able to read. I could vaguely read it but I wasn't quite sure how... it all seemed backwards.
"Why don't you get bombs and blow the door open?" I offered lazily.

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I watched one of the men glare at him and I cringed at the thought of them blowing up my ancestor's building. "We would, but we don't have the money to afford such things!" He exclaimed.
"Then what are you going to do? Those doors are huge and look like solid stone. It looks like you won't be getting in except by force..."

Re: Her Sheltered Life
One of the men kicked the door angrily, "This was the most idiotic idea you've ever had!" He barked at some other guy.
I chuckled.
I chuckled.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Well how was I supposed to know that the princess would be so stupid she couldn't read her own language?!" He retorted.
I let the slight on my stupidity slide on account that I actually could read it. Hehehe. >w<

Re: Her Sheltered Life
One of the men ran over and I saw him about to raise a hand to her, before he could I jumped him with my sword out, "You touch her-" I stopped when I felt a searing pain my side, unpleasant and really sharp. I rolled off him and clutched the new wound, wishing I'd kept my armor on but it wouldn't have helped.
"Leave 'em." The leader said and they all started to leave, "They are completely useless."

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I gasped and ran to his side. "Zeph!" I exclaimed, dropping to my knees beside him. The tears came unexpectedly. I didn't know they were coming until I felt them run down my face. "Oh no... no no no no no!!"
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Dang it..." I hissed as I noticed the blood thick on my hands, I pushed myself up and kept my hands on the cut, "L-Let's go home, we can get home..." I hated this, this was the last thing I wanted to happen.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"W-What? No it's too long of a walk with you going untreated!" I cried. "T-Tell me what to do! I can help!"
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"If I hold it I can get the bleeding to stop, we just need to get back home!" I said, my body was hurting all over.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I gulped and looked back at the door. "There's no way my ancestors put this here, full of treasure or whatever and didn't connect it to the castle." I said. "I'm sure there's a way back inside! Do you want to try? I don't remember the way back to the castle from here."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"We can only try..." I said tugging at some of the fabric of my shirt to cover the wound, I didn't want her to see how bad it was.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I nodded quickly and grabbed Zephyr's sword. I bit my lip and sliced my hand open with it. I screamed and dropped it. "Oh man that hurt worse than I thought it would!" I cried. I felt so stupid but I seriously didn't imagine a cut would hurt so bad!
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! You aren't supposed to wound yourself in consolation!" I barked, "Lora!" Her poor hand, I now had to find a way to help her with that! T-T
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I shook my head. "N-No! I'm not THAT stupid!" I never realized he could yell so loudly! I got up to my feet and tried to keep from breaking out in a total sob fest. I pressed my hand against the door. Years of dust from above me fell to the ground and in my hair and I pulled my hand away when the doors parted to let us in.
The blood of my ancestors shall be the key to opening me.
Hm... what do you know? I guess I could read it after all! >u<

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it open, it really was surreal that such magic actually existed. "I guess we're going through here..."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I nodded and stared at my hand. "I feel really stupid right now..." I took Zephyr's hand and his sword and we stepped through the door. As soon as we got completely inside, the doors shut behind us and the room illuminated itself. I gasped loudly at what I saw. I knew our kingdom was rich, and that our treasury held a lot of gold and other treasures, but this... this was amazing. "And now I don't feel so stupid anymore..."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Wow..." I gaped, I had never seen anything like this in my entire life! The room expressed just how RICH this family was, they weren't hurting for anything! "Lora... and you knew nothing about this..."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I shook my head. "N-No... I had no idea a separate treasury existed. I-I wonder how far this stretches..." I couldn't even see to the end of the room! This place was packed with things! Golden suits of armor... at least twelve. The amount of just random gold pieces was ridiculous. "I'm not even sure that my parents know about this, Zephyr."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Should we tell them?" I asked her as we started to walk through it, the path was pretty easy to spot. I was starting to feel dizzy.
