I sat idly in the on a bench in the garden. I laid down on it and sighed, staring up at the clouds. I had another, extremely stiff guard watching me. Zephyr told me he was taking the day off to take care of some business. I poked my guard. "H-Hey! Look! That could looks like a rabbit!" I grinned happily but he wouldn't look.

So there I stood before the king, he had a bored expression on his face so maybe now was a good time to put some excitement up for grabs! That is... if he chose to see it as a good thing.

"Majesty..."

"Zephyr."

"I have a very big question..."

He looked curiously at me now and the queen walked into the room. Good timing, if he got mad maybe she would calm him down! *___*

I sighed loudly. "You're boring. You won't even talk to me!" I complained loudly.

No response. Ugh. I poked him a couple of times. "Come oooon! I'm bored here!" I whined. "I want a conversation!"

King August was looking at me with slight amusement. "Go on."

I nodded, "I'd like to ask your daughters hand in marriage, Your Majesty." My heart was pounding and I felt heat rushing to my head.

I smiled big and bit my lip, taking my husband's hand and squeezing it tight. I wanted to say something but, I'd let him speak first. It wasn't my place. But I really wanted to let him! It took a lot of guts to ask us! <3

"I should say, I really admire you for asking us such a huge question." King August said, glancing at his wife. I couldn't really read his expression but maybe she could. "You have courage, you've been an amazing guard and even though you took her to the town once..."

HE KNEW?!

"You brought her back safe, you protected her from the murderous kidnappers, with your life."

I put down my head.

"You of all men in the country deserve her hand more than anyone else."

I squealed. "Oh!!! I'd always hoped this day would come!!" I said happily. "But you didn't have to ask, sweetheart! Your marriage to her was planned since she was born! It's just a lot more convenient that you have feelings for each other!"

"What?!" I stood up straight instantly and grabbed my side again, a little too fast for that horrible cut. "No one told me this, I'm twenty-seven in three days!"

The king laughed, "I knew you'd be shocked! But at least you love her and we can trust you."

I giggled and clasped my hands together. "Yes! Your mother asked about it! We were good friends and I couldn't say no! You were so cute and the thought of being linked as sisters some day really made me happy! I don't know if she ever told your father, but it's been planned for a very long time, Zephyr!"

I felt my heart snap in two, "Mother... that's right." I forced myself not to choke, the idea that Mom had been so close with the queen... and had died before she got to see this.

I missed her. I wanted hr back. "She loved everyone."

"She did!" I nodded in agreement. "And it makes me happy to know that her decision is going to make you very happy, which is what she wanted in the first place!" I smiled happily and took my husband's gentle hand again. "You love Lora very much, don't you?"

"R-RIGHT!" I bowed and ran out the door quickly, forgetting the pain for the moment so I could go see my beautiful fiancée! I wanted to also go buy her a ring!

I laughed and leaned over to kiss my handsome husband's lips. "They remind me of when I first met you, my love." I said softly.

I placed another daisy in the crease of my new guard's helmet. I mean really, this guy didn't react to anything! I giggled. He was so cute now! <3

And before you ask, yes, I had done this to Zephyr more than a few times, but I was getting frustrated now. The flower helmet always made Zephyr react, but this guy... it's like he had no emotions! D:
