I squealed and held my arms out. I didn't want to run-hobble to him, so I figured he could come to me! "I thought you didn't work today!"

"I don't, that is what makes today so miraculous and special for you!" I ran over to her and lifted her up into my arms careful of my wound. "It's a BEAUTIFUL day!"

"It is! But you've never mentioned it to me before! What's so special about today?" I asked, laughing when he picked me up.

"It's a beautiful day because WE are going to town!" I said, "We're going to town and we're going to do something amazing!"

"Do what?" I shook my head. "Zephyr, what's going on? Why are we going to town?"

"We are going to my father's house and I've arranged for you to have dinner with him and then we are to sit out in the field under the stars!" I informed her.

I gasped and kissed his cheek. "R-Really?!" I exclaimed. "C-Can we ride there on a horse? My feet hurt..."

"I certainly think that it can be arranged." I held her close and stroked her hair gently, I couldn't believe this, I had never felt so comfortable before! <3

I hugged his neck tight and sighed happily. "Do I get to know what happened today... ever?"

"Oh you will know but you won't see it coming." I kissed her lips. After that we arranged our horses and were headed into town, I rode a separate horse so I could continue playing as her guard for the moment. >w>

I followed him to his fathers house, totally unawares of what was happening. "How much longer?" I asked with a yawn.

"Not much, we're here!" I grinned and got down so I could help her off the horse and carry her inside, "Dinner will wait for you with him and I'll return shortly." I kissed her again, "Have a lovely time!" And then I took off, I had something to take care of!

I watched him go and stepped inside. "Sir Gideon...?" I ventured cautiously. I didn't immediately see him and didn't want to intrude. "It's me, Princess Lora..."

If she hadn't said her name I would have thought it was my precious Hannah coming in through the door in my half asleep state. She'd always been slightly nervous around me at first. Once I heard her name though I knew it wasn't her. I woke up more and realized that it must have been time for dinner, which was sitting in the oven to stay warm. I got up and went to meet her at the door.

"Princess Lora, it's so wonderful to see you!" I led her inside and watched Zephyr gallop off on his horse.

"Zephyr brought me here and only told me I was supposed to have dinner with you. He's acting strange and won't tell me anything." I said with a slight frown. "What's going on?" I hugged him as a greeting, but I was becoming terribly confused by everything!

"Something good, I imagine. Zephyr doesn't do strange things without a purpose." I looked around the house, it had lost it's decorated touch twenty years ago. "Forgive the mess, I'm not a good housekeeper." I led her to the dining room.

I smiled. "It's very warm and inviting though. If it's so clean that people don't feel welcome, what's the purpose of clean?" I asked softly, following him. I loved Sir Gideon. Such a kind man, despite his size!

"Very true, Hannah wouldn't let dust enter the house, she was always clean." I commented, "This house used to have flowers and decorations all over it. She loved life and beauty, she loved being creative." I plated some food for her and sat down, "Zephyr was her favorite part of life."

I sat across from him and smiled. "He's mine too, actually. We at least have that much in common." I sighed a little. "Would you believe he left me with a sorry excuse for a guard for the better part of the day, today?! I mean, that guy wouldn't speak to me at all! Is it some new trend or something?" I frowned. "Such a rude guard."

I smiled suddenly, "He had his reasons." I knew that for a fact, something must have either gone wrong or good but from the look on his face I doubted anything went wrong.

I nodded. "He has reasons for everything. I'm just hoping it wasn't Zephyr who chose that guy! I mean, what kind of person doesn't talk to you when you try to start a conversation with him about the fluffy bunny cloud! I mean, he totally missed it because he wouldn't look." I frowned. "That would have been a good memory for him too!" I took a bit of the dinner he'd prepared and smiled. This was so much better than the cook's at the castle! 8D

"I don't think so, I think he would have probably given you someone better... but maybe if he did do that then he wanted you to stay head over heels for him instead of slightly falling for another guard, which I doubt." I chuckled.

I smiled and nodded. "Very true. Zephyr's always been good to me. He wouldn't stop now." I stared at my bandaged hand a bit before stuffing my mouth with more of this wonderful food!
