Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda stopped because it appeared that he was breathing a little bit better than before. "He's fine, he passed out... get some medicine or heat up some soup..." She hadn't realized, after months of mouthing, that she'd spoken for real. She'd always vaguely heard her voice or her own thoughts.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"R-Right!! I'll go do that!!" Draco trotted off, and halfway back to their little camp, he stopped and turned back quickly to stare at her. "M-Mira!! You spoke!"
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda looked back while still holding Owen in her arms. "Spoke?" She seemed a little uncertain at first but then she tried again, "Draco..." She said and then gasped in shock, "Draco... Draco!" Miranda let out a shocked giggle.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Draco smiled and blew fire around the pot of soup to heat it up, then tried to gather those supplies Owen had brought. He was thankful that Mira had put them back in the basket. He trotted back to her with the basket hooked on one tooth while allowing the soup to cool. "Ya knooow... you hath a pre'y soff voish." He set the basket down beside her. "I've never heard a more kind voice. Well, save for Owen's. When I saw him after hatching, he was the only calm and gentle child there. All the others were rough, and loud... they scared my siblings... but Owen, he quiet. He always has been quiet." Draco frowned and laid beside them, poking Owen's head with his snout. "This is my fault... I should have paid closer attention to my life-partner. I should have been able to tell he was sick. I just... I wasn't paying attention."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda smiled softly, "I didn't know he was sick either... I haven't heard my voice like this in so long, the curse is finally broken..." She seemed stunned by it, jumping between subjects, she had never talked that much. "We should have both noticed... but he's resting now."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Draco sighed and licked Mira's head. "He will be well? Will these medicines he bought help him?" Draco seemed to be extremely worried about Owen, despite how hard he always was on the elf. "He is my life-partner... if he dies, I would not know what to do."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"He won't die. Don't worry so much, Draco, he'll be fine before you know it." Miranda said softly, her voice had a slight accent to it and was very pretty. "Now that he's asleep, he's even better off."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Draco rumbled the saddest rumbled Mira had probably ever heard from him as he watched anxiously as Owen slept. "Right... worrying won't help..." He frowned and stared at the elf, watching as his features which he'd forgotten to change since his trip back from market slowly changed to become more angled than ever. He'd apparently kept them toned down slightly to make himself appear more human, but when he'd passed out, he had lost control over them completely. Even his ears which were normally kept to a straight point were no longer straight. The outside edge was ridged and jagged, appearing to look more like the ear of a dragon. His nose, mouth, and his entire jaw seemed to protrude slightly more as well, making him have the slight appearance of a dragon, though he didn't seem scary at all. No, his features were much more masculine, and much more handsome this way, though he would never pass as a human.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"Just settle down, he's alright." Miranda said, reaching down to stroke his cheek. His skin was so smooth and just a bit warm to the touch. "He's so handsome... I wish he would keep this face all the time." She looked at Draco again, who still seemed to be very worried about Owen.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Draco nodded slowly and rumbled softly. "I don't think he wanted to startle you. You thought he looked more human than he did... we had just come back from a town and he hadn't finished turning back." He sighed some with a frown. "Owen always worries about the little things that don't matter. But yes, according to two-legs, he is very handsome. He has had many women try to get him to fall for them. One even used a love potion... that was pretty bad..."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"He shouldn't be ashamed of it... if he is. I think he's absolutely beautiful." Miranda was shocked at how easily words came to her, she hadn't talked in so long and it wasn't hard to get the hang of again. Once she'd finished giving him medicine, she laid down and rested her head on his chest, taking his hand and kissing his palm.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Draco used his tail to retrieve the pillows and blankets from the other site, and laid them beside Mira. Then, he turned to lay protectively beside the two of them, and draped his wing over them as well. "Let us sleep now."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"Mhm..." Miranda cuddled closer to Owen and prayed that he'd wake up in the morning, she wanted to talk to him so badly.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
When Owen next awoke, the early morning sun was just rising over the trees, and he found himself tucked protectively under Draco's large wing. Mira wasn't in sight, but Owen could already smell her tasty cooking.
"So... you are awake then." Draco rumbled, trying to sound indifferent, but his eager, worried eyes betrayed him. "How do you feel?"
"Groggy... what happened?" Owen mumbled, trying to sit up some.

Re: Actions Speak Louder
"Good morning, here's some soup... just sip at it, you didn't eat much of anything yesterday." Miranda walked up to him, still sniffling from her own cold, and sat the bowl down in his hands.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"Oh, alright..." Owen replied, then his eyes got really wide and he stared at her. "Y-You spoke!! What happened?! How is it you can speak again?!"
Draco was simply laughing, finding the whole thing amusing.

Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda sat down and smiled, "True loves kiss... no, I didn't kiss Draco, our feelings aren't mutual. I gave you a kiss after you passed out..."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Owen's cheeks reddened considerably and he cleared his throat nervously. "Wh-Why couldn't I be awake for that...? I would have rather been awake..." He smiled awkwardly but he seemed genuinely happy. "True love's kiss... huh? I'm kinda glad it was me."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
"I'm glad it was you too... I love you." Miranda didn't seem very shy about saying that, even when mouthing it, she'd never been able to finish that sentence.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Owen grinned then, his face still very red. "I love you too." He seemed a slight nervous, but happy all the same. He sipped awkwardly at the soup, and debated on kissing her. Was it the right moment? He wasn't sure... he hadn't really ever been good at those things.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda sad nothing for the moment when she pushed his hands up with the soup bowl still sitting in them. "Eat." She said, simply. The moment wasn't really awkward, it was comfortable and almost relaxing. Miranda, despite having her voice back, hadn't changed at all. She was still very doting and very childlike in her appearance, as well as her personality.
Nothing had changed, except now... they could determine really how talkative she would be.

Re: Actions Speak Louder
Owen laughed some. "I am! I'm just... thinking so I'm eating slower..."
"Bah, you're just thinking about when you'll actually be able to kiss her next." Draco huffed.
Owen nearly choked on his bowl of soup and glared at Draco. "You don't have to reveal everything I'm thinking about!"

Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda just smiled and sipped at her own bowl of soup, leaning sleepily against Draco, her eyes looked heavy and her skin was pale. She'd forgotten her own sickness in the seriousness of Owen's. "You shouldn't be shy, I kissed you already."
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Owen nodded and set his finished soup aside... he'd sped up when Draco revealed him. "Well, in that case..." He leaned toward her then, and kissed her lips lovingly. His heart raced at the contact, and he felt happier in that moment than he ever had in years. Then he pulled the blankets over the two of them to share.
Re: Actions Speak Louder
Miranda set her bowl aside and leaned against him, he was still warm and she felt shivers roll up her spin. What was this feeling? This strong wave of butterflies was consuming her. She fought herself, trying not to giggle over the ticklish feeling she had, the warmth and listening to his heart made it much worse.
Miranda couldn't stop it, she giggled for the first time in front of him.
