Re: Her Sheltered Life
"Probably not... it's fine." I grinned to her reassuringly, "It's just something... I guess something that is wrong with my eyes? Maybe it's too much sun..."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I frowned a little and squeezed his hand tight. "You scared me really bad." I said softly.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"I'm sorry." I squeezed her hand back gently, feeling bad for not explaining earlier on.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"It's okay, now I know!" I smiled some but my smile fell again. Why did people have to be so selfish? I didn't think stories like this were true, but... I supposed they were. I didn't want us to be the murdered princess and her lover at the entrance of a great room of treasure!
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"You okay?" I asked noticing that her face looked pale. "Don't think scary thoughts, we're going to be just fine!"
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I looked up at him and nodded. That's right, I felt safe when I was with him, so why didn't I trust him now at I time I needed to the most? I smiled up at him. "That's right! You'll keep me safe! You always do!"
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"I've not failed you yet, I won't fail you now." I leaned down and kissed her gently, I didn't even mind having our hands tied together.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"That's good."
Late that night I couldn't sleep, I was feeling a lot healthier and wondered what that strange reaction was, maybe it was an allergy... but couldn't be sure. I wanted to get up and go back to the castle... I looked around in hopes that maybe we could sneak back.

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I was sitting in Zephyr's lap. He said it was because he didn't want anyone to be able to get to me easily. So there I sat, my head reclined against his chest. "You're comfy. I never realized this before..."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I had my nose in her hair, letting it tickle me to cheer me up, "I'm glad you are comfortable, I like hugging you like this."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I smiled. "I love it. I feel safer like this. Like nothing can touch me because you're here." I said softly. "Are you comfortable?"
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"I'm comfortable enough." I blinked tiredly and leaned down to kiss her cheek, "Nothing is going to hurt you here."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I sighed happily. My eyes were beginning to get heavy and I was falling asleep. "I love you." I said tiredly, a yawn coming immediately after.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
The afternoon after it was hot and a bit stuffy, like something in the air was really irritating my head so I couldn't breathe through my nose for a bit.
"Ugh, what is that smell?" I groaned, it was a subtle scent but it was really harsh. Almost like a smelly flower. DX

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I shook my head. "I-I dunno... but I can't breathe at all." I gasped, using Zephyr's strength to keep me up. We'd been walking through it for hours. It was bound to go away sometime soon, right? "I hate this stuff."
Re: Her Sheltered Life
The guys didn't seem to mind it, "Maybe I'm allergic to it." I wondered out loud, "Maybe we're just not used to this..." I felt so weak though, it was really hurting me. I covered Lora's mouth and nose, I didn't like her breathing this air in.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I blinked a few times and kissed his hand, holding the other tight. I was getting really sleepy. Or was it just that I couldn't breathe and my eyes were burning? "What about you, Zephyr?" I asked loud enough for him to hear. My voice was muffled!
Re: Her Sheltered Life
"I'll be fine..." I coughed harshly, it was starting to make my throat really scratchy, almost like a chest cold or a head cold and chest cold. One of the men pulled our ropes which immediately tightened around our wrists. "AURGH." I barked, "WATCH IT!"
"Walk faster and I won't have ta' pull ya so hard!" He barked back.

Re: Her Sheltered Life
I fell over when he pulled us. I really just wanted to lay there, but I was afraid that guy would pull us again. I got to my knees and sighed. My legs were so tired, but Zephyr's were probably the same. I held onto his hand tightly, waiting a moment before I tried to pull myself up.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I felt so angry, my whole face was on fire including my ears as I tried to help up my Lora, my beautiful Lora. This wasn't what I wanted for us. They'd not taken my sword, but if I drew it they would probably try and kill me. I wasn't sure about Lora, but I couldn't abandon her for the sake of trying.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I let Zephyr pull me back up to my feet. I sighed some. It was hard to breathe and I was almost to the point of welcoming death. I would have welcomed it if it weren't for Zephyr. I couldn't leave him alone. OnO
We began walking again. I was so tired. I couldn't figure out why either.

Re: Her Sheltered Life
At some point towards the end of the day we reached a large stream and when they pushed me into it I pulled Lora with me and amazingly was relieved at the cool water against my skin, or what showed of it, the rest of me was covered in armor. "Lora!" I coughed, realizing this wasn't completely good, "Lora!" I touched her hand, I pulled her, I had to make sure she wasn't too weak to get out of the water.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I was just laying there, concentrating on breathing at the moment. I'd never walked so much in my life! But as for being able to get out. I was laying down now. I wouldn't be getting up for a little while.
Re: Her Sheltered Life
I wanted to just lay there with her, making sure the water cooled her down since she was probably very warm from the long walk during the day. I gently splashed water against her face, I couldn't let her get too hot or she'd get sick.
"Are you okay?" I asked gently.
