I pulled her posters carefully off the wall. "Don't cry so much, Mandy! You're going home and you'll get to see everyone! Plus, you'll be able to help Andy and I... we're trying to pair up Eli and Keely. They'd make such a cute couple!" I put the posters in their tubes and sat them neatly in her box, along with different figurines... most of them Willow Tree figurines.

"Y-Yeah, they were here together a few days ago and I kept hinting to them that they were cute together but Keely just kept getting flustered." I giggled softly and pulled some figurines off the shelf behind my bed. I grew solemn though, my eyes watered.

"The girl I tried making friends with, she was always here... she went home..." I frowned.

"Oh... I'm sorry, Mandy." I grabbed her flowers and set them carefully in the box, along with the figurines she pulled off the shelf behind her bed. "But you still have us... and Aaron. That kid is always coming to the house and talking about how good you look. He's a sweetheart."

"I know, I just wish she could have gone home like I'm going home today..." I admitted softly and then looked at her with a big smile, "Aaron... I talked to him about something the other day. I know what I want to do with my future now, it's really amazing I think because... I'd like to get into cancer treatment. I mean I know I'll see a lot of things but I just really feel like that's what I need to do." I dropped back on my bed and gulped against the lump in my throat, "C-Can you get that last one? I'm so tired already..."

I grabbed it and smiled. "I think that's a great idea! Does Aaron like it?" I set it in the box and we were done. I wheeled her wheelchair to her and locked it to help her get in it. "I'll help you in." I held out my hand.

"Yeah, he thought it was a great idea but he said right now he wants me to work on getting better first." I put pressure on her arms and got to my feet shakily before sitting down and relaxing. "I think I like that idea... how is Andy doing by the way?" I wondered, "I bet she's gotten so big, I haven't seen anyone in so long besides Eli and Aaron."

I laughed. "Well, she's got Ian on his toes! He barely gets any sleep anymore! He looks like he's got a black eye! It's really kinda sad, but funny how he jumps whenever she calls for him!" I giggled. "They're all so excited to see you!"

I giggled, "Aww! Ian is so protective too, I bet it's hilarious to see him run around like that... but sad too. Everyone is changing so much..." I wasn't even thinking about myself, skinny, bald and sickly... but that made me feel pretty humble.

"Yeah?" I replied softly, my stomach growled a little bit and I realized for the first time in a while I was actually pretty hungry. As soon as I felt the fresh air outside I tasted freedom, lifted my hands up a bit and let the breeze hit my pale skin.

"It's beautiful out today."

"It's gorgeous!" I grinned. "And it will be for a while! You're so lucky to get out during the spring!" I pushed her in the direction of my car. "I'm so excited to be able to take you home!"

"I wanted to talk to you about that... I haven't seen you in so long, what made you want to come get me?" I asked out of curiosity.

I frowned against the bright sun. "I finally decided it was time to stop denying the fact that my little sister had cancer and would look different... and that I couldn't let myself be afraid of change. Plus I've missed you a ton. I mean, I have Andy... but she's not the same. She's not you."

"Aw... I see, I understand what you are saying... it is really hard to take in." I smiled and took off my bandanna, "But hey, I think I'm actually really pretty though! And when I go into remission I'll start getting my hair back..."

"Mandy, you're always gorgeous. You're a Harrison girl! It comes with the territory!" I grinned and we reached the car and I opened the passenger door for her. "Do you need help getting in our can you get in yourself?"

"I need to get stronger so I can walk from here to there..." I pushed myself up and took a few steps, it didn't hurt nearly as bad to walk as it did when I was first diagnosed, but sore... yes. I sat down in the front and sighed.

I handed her the keys to start the car and folded up her wheelchair and managed to shove it in the backseat. I hopped into the driver's seat. "Now, let's get some lunch!" I grinned.

I handed them back to her and smiled, "Where are we going to get lunch?" I asked or maybe it was a surprise, this happened a lot when I came home from the hospital.

Only the last few times I couldn't eat.

"I suppose there's no point in keeping it from you... I'm taking you on a sister date to Zeph's!" I giggled. "I'm so excited!"

I couldn't hold back the squeal that came next, "No way! I haven't been to Zeph's in ages!" I was so excited but this meant that I'd really need to use what appetite I had!

"I know!!! I knew you'd love it!" I exclaimed. "Zeph's is the best!" I sighed. "I don't feel like ordering today. I think I'll just let him bring me something!"

"Everything there is amazing, I absolutely love the roast beef subs they have, with toasted bread and onions!" My mouth was watering as I imagined it, "With a coke float..."

"That beats hospital food... I wouldn't eat the hospital food. Normally I just asked Aaron or Eli to bring me something yummier and less sugar free." I admitted, "Everything tasted like they left some important ingredient out."
