You hate your prosthetic but you can't stand the idea of a numb butt, so wheelchairs are out of the question, even though you hijack Dad's every chance you get. I also know that you love art, anyone can tell that, but your favorite thing is to paint. And you utmost favorite is to paint for children with cancer. Your true colors show at that time. Your smile is genuine and you seem to glow like an angel... just like when you fall asleep during your favorite movie." I sighed. "I know all of these things, but I want to know more." I said softly, dropping to one knee. "Keely," I pulled the little box out and opened it. "Will you marry me and give me the honor of learning more about you?"

I was standing there with my mouth open wide and my eyes nearly popped out when I saw the ring. My friends were screaming next to me shouting 'SAY YES SAY YES' and I felt completely overwhelmed by it.

I was crying.

"If this is a dream... I'll cry harder when I wake up." I said, already sounding congested. I held out my hand for him and nodded eagerly, "Yes!"

Oh, thank you, God. T-T I let out the breath I'd been holding, waiting for her reply and took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger before standing up and hugging her again. "I never thought a three-letter word could mean so much." I said softly.

"It's life changing." I was crying my eyes out, pride washing away as I leaned up and kissed him gently, "Thank you for being in my life."

My friends were still screaming and I could hear buttons.

Texting? Facebook updating? >.>;;

"I should be the one thanking you." I smiled warmly. "Now, would you like to walk home with me or take the bus?" I asked softly. "If you take the bus, you can show off your ring."

"I... I kinda want some alone time with you, a walk might be nice." I immediately grabbed his hand, that ring would be there always and I'd have plenty of time to brag later. <3 It was a special moment and I was ready to talk to my fiancé about our future! I waved bye to my friends who were still texting.

I felt silly doing this but...

Keely Raine changed her status to Engaged

"Setting myself as engaged, you need to confirm it! But maybe we should after we tell them...?" I knew they'd all freak out.

I got a text and looked at it. It was Keely's status request.

Reply 'Confirm' to confirm this request.

I texted back a 'Confirm' and smiled. "Alright, it's official now because it's on Facebook." I laughed.

I put my phone in my pocked and laced our fingers together, filling the gap. "Hehe okay. When... when do you want to get married...?" I was shaky, this was all so unreal and I was beginning to feel like it wasn't a dream at all.

"I guess. But it has to be convenient for both of us... maybe we should ask your mom about it?" I had no idea how anyone would take this, especially my traditional parents... T-T

"Hmm... maybe so!" I took her hand in mine and kissed her cheek. "And any day you want it... I'll make it convenient. I promise."

"I think it should at least be on a Saturday... maybe a summer wedding? I mean that's during a break and we can have more guests!" I always dreamed of having a really beautiful wedding, something special.

But I didn't want it to be pricey...

"Definitely! So indoor and maybe go ahead and have an indoor reception too... this is so new to me, I'm not even sure where to begin... I guess we just set a date." I felt my hands shaking.

Especially Katie who still had no ring on her finger.

"I'm more worried about my parents... I'm not sure how they'll feel about me marrying so young but I'm not really concerned." I confided in him.

I was doing that more often.

Actually, I hate waiting. I hate it with every fiber of my being, but... for Keely, I'd definitely wait forever.
