I gaped, "What? You don't even want to hold him?" I felt some sense of worry at first but I wasn't sure if I should think about it or not.

"Oooh, a baby machine! Are you going to be one of those that gets pregnant like... two months after having a baby?" Amanda asked and my eyes widened.

"WHAT?!"

"Oh my duck, I hope not." I said quickly. "I'd like to have longer than a two month wait before I get pregnant again." I said. "I'm not sure I'm ready for two."

Mom laughed, "I wasn't ready for two either and I got twins." She said with a big smile and looked at both Katie and I. Guilty, once one we multiplied and over stayed our welcome. 83

I laughed. "Yes, but I really don't want to have twins at the moment..." I grinned at her. "Amanda! How many kids do you want?" I heard Aaron cough on the other line.

"Oh... I want a lot of children! I want... maybe about eight kids... I love big families, they are just wonderful!" Amanda said eagerly, "But in that case... I hope I like being pregnant."

I gaped.

"I will!" Amanda called, I could really tell that she was grinning, "But... for now I want to sleep if that's okay?"

"It's fine." Mom said with a smile, I could tell that she was thinking about the idea of being a grandmother to a lot of children. She probably expected double grandchildren but not all from one child. *___*

"Goodnight, sweetheart." Dad called with a loving smile.

"Night Princess, I love you!" Eli called. Ah, he really was the sweetest. I couldn't wait for him to find his girl!

"Goodnight, my beautiful sister!" Katie called happily. "Love you!!"

"Goodnight everyone!" Amanda said and then hung up the phone. I saw tears in mom's eyes and she stood up, "I think I'm going to read for a while." She said.

I nodded and she left the room. Things were always changing.

I watched Eli stand up and walk out of the room right after Mom, except he left the house completely. "Amanda's really got him shaken up."

*One Month Later*

*Keely*

"There! Another picture for your wall!" I was always going through the rooms of patients and giving them paintings and sketches, I took requests and a lot of the people in the cancer treatment center asked for pictures of them with hair or just about anything they could come up with.

It was fun! My youngest sister, Maggy, was there in remission but some were really just beginning the battle. Amanda Harrison for instance, I visited her a lot and she was back for chemo.

I ran down the hall, holding a bag of movies and books in one hand, and mine and Amanda's lunch in the other. I was running a little late getting to her and I was upset about that. Her fries weren't as fresh! D:

"Thanks!" Amanda said cheerfully as she looked at the painting, "Oh, why don't you stick around for a few minutes? My brother, Elijah is coming in soon."

I smiled, "Oh, I guess!" I moved to open the door, not prepared for what came next.

I blasted through the door and fell over the girl opening it and the bag of food his the ground along with the other and next thing I know, I'm on top of the girl and our lips have now said hello.

"OH MY DUCK!!" I exclaimed, jumping off of her. "Ah, uh-I-I'm SO sorry! Uhm... h-here!" I held a hand out for her to help pull her up.

Did I actually kiss her? Oh man. >.<

Amanda was stifling a laugh while I tried to get up, gaping a little bit at the thought that my first kiss was now with this boy who I assumed was the brother she mentioned.

"Umm... hi..." I said shyly, blushing furiously, "I'm Keely Burke." I stopped talking when I noticed he was completely bald, like his sister, only he had eyebrows where she didn't.

"H-Hey..." I looked around and found our food bag was actually standing up straight! Amazing! "I-I'm Elijah Harrison. It's uh, it's nice to meet you." I glanced at the mirror in the room and my face was just about as red as hers. "Again, I-I'm really sorry!"

"N-No it's okay!" I gaped a little and kicked my leg back and forth a little, balancing on my good one as if it wasn't even a big deal. I shook his hand, "It's great to meet you!"

Amanda was still giggling.

Amanda is not helpful in awkward situations. "Y-You too!" I smiled and grabbed the back of lunch and set it in Amanda's lap. "There. Eat your food." I then looked back at Keely. "Um, is there anything I can do to make up for this...?"

Amanda stared at the bag and frowned a little, he probably was forcing her to eat it and I could tell she wasn't eating much, she was really thin.

"Nothing at all! I know it was an accident." I sat down and massaged my thigh a little, sore as ever. "We should just hang out!"

"Yeah!" Amanda took little bites of a fry.

I nodded. "Uh, y-yeah... sure." I smiled awkwardly and grabbed my two big macs out of the bag and the large fries. I sat on the couch and focused on putting ketchup on my hamburger. This was way too embarrassing. Probably for her too. Getting kissed by a bald seventeen year old probably wasn't on her list of romantic things she wanted to try.

"You did the sympathy shave?" I asked him, he couldn't have had it too, his eyebrows were still fully intact. "My sisters best friend did it too, they went to a photo booth and got pictures taken."
