I opened the box and smiled widely as I witnessed pictures of Katie and I during our childhood, it was like watching a slideshow of our lives and it was so amazing.

"Katie this is so cool!!"

"I can keep this next to my computer in my room and when I go to college it'll be right with me!" I frowned suddenly, "I can't imagine leaving here..."

"We can skype!" I grinned. "And every major holiday, we come home to meet! We gotta make this promise, okay? He gotta meet on the major holidays! And if one of us can't get off work or something to make it, the other goes to them!" I held out my hand. "No matter what. Deal?"

"Deal." I shook her hand and the deal was made, we would be home all those times. I wondered how hard it would be for us when we had to be apart.

Would it kill us inside? Together since BEFORE birth and then the idea of leaving... it was terrifying.

I hugged him and then asked him to help me with my bracelet and necklace. I'd never take them off! >(

I laughed a bit, "Yup." I put them both on for her and then went back to thinking.

It was far off, I didn't have to worry about it.

Back in school the next week I was faced with Holly, bratworst.

"Mmmm, you got taller, Ian!"

"Please don't call me by my first name..."

"What's wrong with that?" Holly was following me. I wanted to just... I stopped myself. "Haha, we're not on a first name basis."

"Hello!!" I grinned, coming out of the girl's bathroom to see them. "Whatcha up to?"

"Running..." I mouthed to Katie.

"Oh! I was just talking about hanging out this weekend with you, Katie! We should go to the mall or see a movie!" Holly crossed her arms and grinned.

Holly? Seriously. I wanted to do something awful to her for lying to my sister like that! D<<

I walked away, this bugged me a lot and it wasn't just the fact that my sister was hanging out with Holly... it was that she was trusting her after all the crap she pulled.

"Yeah!! That sounds great! I can't wait!" I held my books in my hands with great happiness! Yes! Another girl actually wanted to hang out with me! Actually, no one hung out with me except for Ian... but that's all good! Ian is my best friend!

That was so much easier than I thought it would be, maybe if I could start being this friendly Ian would really fall for me. He was really cute and his sister... bah, just annoying.

I slammed my locker shut. I was so angry, maybe beyond angry because of stupid Holly, I hated this and I wasn't sure how to even break it to Katie. It would hurt her really badly.

"Hi Ian!" I grinned, looking up at him. I had the locker underneath his because I was too short for the other locker. "I'm going to the mall with Holly on Saturday! Isn't that cool?" I was so happy, it was fairly obvious. "Hopefully it'll be a lot of fun!!"

I wasn't sure what to say to that but I didn't want to ignore her, "Please... be careful. Ah... take Zack with you." I'd been talking to him a little here and there and he seemed nice enough, I hadn't finished my background check though. T-T

"Oh. He's around... probably in the music group room right now." I was feeling really depressed, it was scaring me and I hated that feeling. "I gotta get to class, later sis!"

"Bye!! Have fun!" I called back. I actually had an entire hour between my classes. So... might as well find Zach like Ian told me to! I grabbed my next class' books out of my locker so I wouldn't have to stop by my locker on the way to class and headed for the music room!

"How do did you learn to play so well?" My cousin, Sandy, asked with wide eyes, "I mean that's not even good, that's too good! It's like you're programmed!"

I nodded, "Yeah..." I wasn't talkative amongst family, friends, getting there, but family, no.

I stepped into the music room and knocked on the wall to let them know I was there. Then: "Hi!!" I grinned big.

I was about to play a tune when I heard someone calling from behind, "Oh, hi Katie, come sit down!" I patted the empty chair next to me and then began to play again, at least until she got there.

I hurried over and sat down like I was told. He was really good! Or, at least I thought so. I didn't know much about wind instruments. I could sorta play the piano. So I just sat there and smiled big until he felt like he was finished. I had an entire hour!

I stopped playing and then looked at her with a smile, "Ah, over here is my cousin Sandy, Sandy this is Katie! We met at the mall the other day..." After that I ignored Sandy who went back to practicing the oboe.
