I came out to see them talking, Ian, he was fairly thin but he had a bit of a round face and my eyes, he was also a little bit darker skinned with dark hair as well.

"Did you get it back?" I asked.

Ian gave a bit of a frustrated look. I could tell he was upset. He shook his head.

"Well," I set Katie down. "Big Brother Ian and I are gonna go get your doll back, aren't we Ian?" I grinned.

I watched Ian's smile get really big, "Yup!" He agreed as he climbed onto Kyle's lap. I could only wonder how they handled these things usually.

We rolled expertly out the door and off to the neighbor's house where I had Ian knock on the door. The woman I didn't like answered.

"Oh! So we're back to apologize are we?" She frowned.

"Nope. We're back to get the doll your daughter took from mine. Now, please step out of the way. There's no enough room for me to get me wheelchair through with you standing there."

I didn't like waiting for Daddy sometimes, I just wanted to see Katie happy again so I ran in and found her so called 'friend' and pushed her, I knew I'd get in trouble with her mommy but I didn't much care.

She cried. They always cried.

"It's not yours." I said, "It's Katies!" I was angry with her and wanted to say something else but I just left. I decided on the way out to show her mommy the doll's back, that's where Katie kept her name on all her toys.

I sighed when he ran in like that, but it meant I didn't have to fool with my chair. "Alright, Ian! Go show Katie! I'll be back in a minute!"

I nodded and ran off with her doll, back to the house. Katie would be so happy to see that doll again! <3

-Katie- I was sitting with Mommy when Ian came back inside with my doll. "IAN!" I screamed and hugged him! I love my brother! He gets my toys back and he protects me! Kinda like Daddy would if he could walk.

"Tank oo!" Sometimes when I get excited I forget how to talk right! "Thank you!" I hugged him again. "I love you Ian! Yuh the best brother evuh!"

I watched Ian hug Katie and smiled warmly but then I really wanted to go out and hear what Kyle had to say to our neighbor. I went out back and listened, it wasn't exactly hidden.

I have to say, there have been very few people I have hated... but this woman was writing her name on the list.

"I'm telling you, Hot Wheels!" Oh no, she didn't. >.> "Your twins are evil little lying brats! And every time they come over, my little Holly is left crying!"

"Have you considered the fact that your kids might just be the liars? Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? I can't wait until Holly realizes that the more she cries about nothing, the less likely it is for anyone to believe her!"

"She wasn't crying over nothing! Your little brat, Katherine-"

"Katie."

"Yeah, whatever! Your brat tried to take her toy!"

"But it wasn't Holly's toy. It belongs to Katie. We got it for her two weeks ago for her third birthday. We still have the reciept, warranty, and box if you want proof."

The woman grunted.

"Lisaten, I'm not here to get in a fight with you, but the next time this happens, I'll spank your kids for you."

That was it.

I took Katie's doll just for a minute, got the box our receipt and just about everything I needed and walked over to talk to this woman.

"Listen, here is our proof. This is Katie's doll, here is her name, my hand writing, on the back of this doll. Here is the box, fresh, not old, here is the receipt with MY name on it! Katie is no thief, she's a sweet little girl and all she wants is a friend!" I said, "And nothing, not even this, gives you the right to call my husband names! You have no idea what we have been through and what our children have been through!"

The woman was about to say something when I shook my head. "You may be big, but I can assure you, Rhema will take you down in a heartbeat. Anyway, we don't want a fight, but please teach your kids that stealing from other kids is wrong. And if it happens again, we'll call the cops on you little thieves back there."

I nodded in agreement. Parenting could be so challenging sometimes but it was also very rewarding! I had to get back to my children so I went home and walked in to find them sitting on the floor talking, they always had something to talk about.

"Here Katie!" I smiled and handed her the doll.

Ian gave me a smile, I could see he was happy and he was happy because Katie was happy.

I rolled in just as Katie took her doll with a big grin. "Daddy! Ian got me my doll back!"

I gasped like I was so surprised. "Oh wow! He did?! What a good brother! Did you give him a hug?"

"I did!!" She said in her usual chipper voice. "He's a good brother!"

"Yeah! He's a very good brother! You think we should take him to get ice cream tonight as a thank you?"

"Yeah!!! Will Mommy come too?"

"Yep, Mommy will come too!" I replied, because Mommy is really craving ice cream... >.>

Ian was grinning from ear to ear by then, "I want chocolate and mint!" He said to Katie, "I don't think Katie's tried the mint yet!"

He always made sure she got to try something new. <3

"Starbellies!" Ian repeated eagerly, "I like that one too!"

Yes, I admit, raising these two was very challenging but because they were so close it made it easier, they didn't fight each other and they never caused a ruckus, they usually sat quiet and just talked.

The most we had to do was clean them up if they made a mess. I absolutely adored my children and I still wanted more too. It certainly wouldn't be long.

"Okay, Ian, Katie if we're going to go get ice cream I think we need to get dinner too!"

"Booger Queen!!" Katie exclaimed almost immediately.

And Daddy couldn't keep a straight face any longer. I burst out laughing!

"Daddy? What's so funny about booger queen?"

"That's easy, Katie!" Ian started, "Because it's owned by the booger queen! She cooks all the boogers!"

I wasn't sure what to say to that, I turned around and snorted.

Katie still looked confused! Poor thing still had trouble with some words. "But I don't get it...."

"Oh, s-sweetie! We were just laughing because we knew that's where you wanted to go! Mommy, off we go to eat the booger queen's boogers!"

I sat down the kids and got their shoes tied and then got them ready to go. I slipped on my own shoes and grabbed my purse before we left.

Our lives were fairly normal. Katie and Ian stayed with their grandparents sometimes, I hadn't yet really started a career but I'd finished school.

And I was on my last year. I had one more semester after this and we might actually be moving to find me a job.

I pulled myself up into the passenger seat and hated that Rhema had to deal with my wheelchair. It was kind of irritating that I couldn't put it up for her. But I wouldn't be in a wheelchair if I could put one up.

After the kids were buckled in I took the wheelchair, folded it and put it in the trunk of the car. I had to learn to drive a couple years ago when we finally got a car.

Egh.

I wasn't sure why I'd never done it! Anyway, we were off to 'booger queen' to get some 'boogers' and then get some 'starbellies' ice cream. ._.

I gulped. If only she knew.... so disgusting...

"Two kids meals... with milk on the side." I knew that Kyle would probably stare at me in shock when he heard what I ordered for myself. It was probably the biggest burger on the menu. >.<
