I tried to have all of my contracts done quickly so I could be home in time to bathe and cook lunch. That's right. I would get up in the middle of the night, kill the person, grab the reward, and return. I came in the back door now though because Janelle always frowned at me... >.>

So I snuck into the bath room.

I probably looked like this: 8P when I was embroidering because I stuck my tongue out on harder shapes. I heard the door open and looked to see if I could spot Jethro... he was probably hiding. "HI!" I called, "I'VE BEEN GOOD!" I always said that when he came in and if the echo worked just right he'd know exactly where I was because he was awesome that way.

I cringed and hope she hadn't seen me. I'd gotten myself hurt this time and I'd probably get yelled at.

"Ah, th-that's good!" I called back, pulling my shirt off. I'd gotten cut on my side. It wasn't horrible, but it looked bad. I sighed and jumped in the water. It was freezing, but I needed to bathe quickly so I could stitch it. I got myself clean and ran into the bedroom quickly like... well, and assassin. I shut the door quickly and looked for the sewing kit. But... I couldn't find it.

"Ah, J-Janelle... where's the sewing kit?" I called.

"I have it, why?" I asked, "I just felt like doing something other than sleeping all day... and the baby is asleep too which makes me a bit upset, she shouldn't be sleeping right now." I paused, "Why do you need this?"

"A-Ah... w-well..." I stepped out of the room nervously and held my hand tightly too my side. "I just need it real quick so... slide it to me please!" I grinned.

I glared at him, "Jethro... what's with that pose? Stop being silly." I couldn't help but notice the red on his hands and glared irritably, "You can't do this by yourself, get over here."

I sighed and shuffled over to her. "It's really not that bad... it just needs to be sewn up..." I said softly. I was preparing myself for being fussed at. She was always telling me to be careful and I got careless this time.

I looked at it and frowned sadly, "Jethro..." I got a new needle and some sanitary thread before starting to sew it up carefully, it had to have stung. "You can talk to me, how did this happen?" I asked, I wasn't phased anymore by his job, "And talk loud, I want the baby to wake up."

"Well... the contract was for a man who had married this woman and had five kids with her, but then she found out he is cheating on her, and not just with concubines, but other people's wives. I mean, the wives of soldiers who are gone patrolling the outer parts of the kingdom. So the wife is really angry... understandably so, so she put a contract out on him and specifically asked for me to kill him. So I kill him, right? And in the contract, she said she wanted proof, so I showed her a glimpse of his body through the window. She agreed it was him, payed me the money, and as I was leaving she attacked me! I had to run for my life!" I frowned. "But I left the body there in front of her house as revenge. I guess she didn't want to pay me? I don't know. But if she can hide a body, she'll be okay... if she can't, well... I kind of feel bad for her going to jail, but you shouldn't attack the person who's doing you a favor, you know? I know she's angry at her husband, but she shouldn't attack me like that. That's just not fair."

That was quite the story he told, I shook my head, "I'm not really sure what to think of that, you certainly have an eventful life out there." I said as I finished stitching his wound, "And thank you for waking her up, I want her to sleep tonight." I tied the knot and then looked around, "I need bandages."

I got up and grabbed some from the room and then came back. "That woman... I was really angry with her. If her children grow up without either of their parents, it's now her fault. I would have take the body, but... I was afraid of going back actually. You always tell me to be safe." I smiled at her belly and blew a kiss to it. "I want her to sleep too. I don't sleep if you don't."

I unwrapped and started to wrap them all around in a neat fashion, "I'm mad at her too, I'm made because she touched you and I hate that!" I really did, I felt so angry. >(

She wouldn't be appreciative of what other women sometimes did to me... like what she used to do...

"What? You're jealous?" I smirked and leaned forward to kiss her. "You're cute when you're jealous."

"Jealous? No. She could have killed you." I pinned the bandages and laid back against the pillows, I felt really lightheaded again. "Why should I be jealous? I wouldn't try to kill you."

"Well, you saying that you don't want her to touch me sounds a bit like jealousy to me." I grinned. "Thank you for fixing me up. I'm sure the blankets love you. I barely felt anything..."

I looked at the beautiful embroidery design that went almost from the bottom to the top... on my side only. "I'll do your side too later, I've just been... sitting here." I laughed, "Maybe you should rest too, I don't want you to pull the stitches."

Now it was kind of fair, but I still wasn't allowed off of bed rest. T^T

"Actually I would love dinner!" Suddenly we were both shouting at each other, but not in a bad way. Just in a funny way, I was having trouble not laughing at it. "LET'S EAT!"

I laughed a little, "She'll kick you, especially since she knows I asked you to wake her up and she knows your voice. I think she'll be more upset with you than me." I kept giggling. Back when Jethro kidnapped me I never thought I'd see myself in this place... and with him talking to the baby as if he loved her with all his heart, like a real dad. It was so cute. <3

I laughed too and rubbed her belly before getting up. "Alright, you can help me make dinner this one time unless you want to lay down. But don't get up if you feel dizzy! I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself, or the baby!"

I got out of bed without much hesitation and noticed that I had gotten bigger, I hadn't really thought about it while sitting there but once I was standing my center of gravity was definitely not the same. "Ugh! The floor is cold, let's go make dinner!" I wanted to walk on my tip toes to get around the cold floor but I couldn't or I'd flop over. >_<;

I grabbed a towel and laid it in front of the oven for her. She was always complaining about the cold floor.

I got a cookbook and stood on the towel, "I think we should... make..." I was turning through the pages and couldn't seem to decide... "Let's make a pot pie!"

"Alright then... I have some chicken broth from yesterday so we'll use some of that. I don't have any chickens and I don't feel like going out to buy one." I said with a sigh and pulled the jar of broth out of the cold box.
