"Maybe... you were the one that was as in love as you thought. She may have loved you... but not as much as she should have." I wanted to hug him tight, but I didn't want to choke him. "There's definitely someone who will love you more than she did." I said softly. "And you will find her."

"I guess so." I spent the next few days helping Fairy, she wasn't able to fly because of her injured wing and I didn't think there was anything to do about it. I knew partly it was my fault.

I gave her food, made sure she was comfortable and made a special place where she could bathe if she wanted to. I never looked. >_>;

I changed into one of my new dresses after bathing and rung the bell he made for me to get his attention. "W-Will you move me to the fireplace so my hair will dry?" I hated asking him to do so much just because I had a broken wing. :(

I picked her up gently and moved her to the tiny seat I carved for next to the fire place. I even had tiny cushions on it, specifically for her to cuddle with. "There, I'll have dinner for you soon."

I liked her a lot but how could that even be? I was... elven and she was a tiny fairy. T^T

"Thank you!!" I smiled and held on tight to his finger. I really liked him a lot... but he hadn't seemed to have gotten over Krystal. "You're really sweet, thank you for helping me. I've decided that I want to help you cook instead." I thought he was going to sit with me, but now I wanted to help him cook!

I laughed, "You... Fairy..." I didn't know her name. "You can help." I picked her up again and we went to the kitchen to cook dinner. She made it so much easier to let go of my anger and frustration.

"Hey... I have a question... what happens if... let's say... a shifter likes a fairy? Are they allowed to fall in love?"

I smiled. "Well, we don't really have any rules about those kinds of things. We're just warned to be careful, because when we have our first kiss, we grow to the size of the person who kissed us. Well, the size of their race." I shrugged and pulled the cheese toward him. "But, if we kiss someone who isn't a fairy, we lose our wings. So... that's why we have to be careful. Our first kiss is very important. So... whomever we kiss is pretty much who we will stay with for the rest of our lives. After that, we aren't given as much freedom to choose. Why do you ask?" I finally got the cheese to him, but by then, he'd already gotten all of the other ingredients together.

If I told her I liked her and shared a kiss... a rather tiny kiss, with her then she'd lose her wings... but one of them was useless, she was doing a lot of walking.

I looked at him carefully, but shrugged. "Anyway, you've probably met a lot of fairies and just didn't realize it. It's a very common thing for us to fall in love outside of our race." I said, sitting down on the cheese.

I felt my face get really hot and I looked down at my feet. "I don't know... I think I am..." I said softly. "But I don't know what that feels like so I can't be sure."

"Who is it? Am I allowed to know?" I cut some of the cheese she was sitting on but it was a big roll so she didn't have to move.

I bit my lip and glanced up at him. "Ah... well, I don't know. He still seems to be hung up on this girl he used to know..." I said and turned to grab some of the crumbs the cheese dropped.

I stared up at him, wide-eyed. My mouth was covered still and I nodded a little. I was terrified of telling him for some reason.

"Y-You do?" I frowned. "Wh-Why did you make me say it first then? That's not fair!" I frowned some, but I wasn't upset... more like... relieved.

"Because I wanted to see if it's true or not. This feels strange though... if I courted you... you're so tiny." I gently touched her head and got down to make eye contact with her. "Tiny and beautiful."
