"We'll give it to him after dinner." I got up slowly and pulled my shirt down to cover the pictures the twins had drawn, they weren't bad... they were just in a rather strange place. ._. "Go play for a little while!"

Ian took Katie to their room and I got on the floor to pick up the markers. They weren't getting these back for a while.

"Yeah, I've just been on my feet since early this morning and I thought a nap would be nice... but apparently they weren't feeling very tired." I gave him a kiss and then started to bend down for another marker, my back was hurting from that though.

"Always running around... I'm so tired. What do you want for dinner, love?"

"I want whatever it is you want to make!" I grinned. "If it's mac and cheese, then it's mac and cheese!" I tried to make everything easy on her. Too bad I couldn't pick those up for her. OnO

I felt bad suddenly, how could I have thought of being so lazy like that? I sighed and gave him a smile as I waddled into the kitchen, "Just relax, I'll start dinner." No ordering pizza. He deserved better than that.

"Can I help you?" I asked, rolling to the thresh-hold of the kitchen. "You shouldn't have to cook alone."

"No, it's fine, it's your birthday and I want you to enjoy it!" I smiled and got to work on dinner, I decided to make some pasta and home-made bread sticks. I already had the dough from the day before.

I looked around the massive house. There wasn't much to do... the kids were having fun in their room and I didn't want to watch tv... so I stayed where I was. "So... I like your new body art."

"Thanks." I was feeling quiet, I think I was tired but I wasn't sure why. I finished laying out the pasta things and began to cook and after that I made the bread sticks.

"Kyle..." I sighed a little, "are you doing okay?" I asked.

I knew nothing could bring him down and for that I was happy, "I suppose nothing could be better than this. Happy birthday, Kyle." I came over and got down in front of him and began to kiss him lovingly. "I love you."

I ran my fingers through her hair and just kissed her. "Is something bothering you?"

"No, nothing really, I'm just so tired lately." I rested my head on his shoulder and then leaned down a little more to kiss his chin... it'd been so long since I'd done that.

I kissed her back and hugged her tight, and close to me. "I've missed you so much." I'd been working a lot more since my sweetheart decided to bless me with another baby. I just didn't get to see her much anymore. That was the only downside. "I've missed everything. I think about you nonstop while I'm at work."

"When I start work up in a couple weeks you can take some vacation time and spend time with the kids." I played with his hair a little, "That way we're a bit even."

"I'm still breakable even though I'm not dying of a heart defect?" I asked with a bit of a giggle, I remembered how he would barely even want to touch me because of how weak I was.

"You are very much so breakable! And I'll find a way to hurt whoever messes with even a single hair on your head in an ill manner." Right now, Ian wasn't old enough to fill in my spot. But soon enough, he would be.

I laughed, "Thank you." I kissed him again and then got up carefully so I could go stir the pasta around and check on the bread sticks. "Oh, I forgot, I found out what the baby is, I asked because they forgot to tell us!"

I walked over and bent down as much as I could and whispered in his ear with a bit of a smile on my face.
