A small eep escaped me when I heard the jingling my phone made as a text came through.

"Ooh, he called you beautiful! How sweet!" Jamie shouted.

"I gotta go, bye!" I barely had time to comment on her comment, I had to get to our usual place, running and texting at the same time.

I grinned. I couldn't wait! I couldn't wait to see her! My excitement far outweighed my nervousness to ask her out. "God, you really blessed me. I hope you know that."

I quickly ran out of breath running and stopped for a moment to check my text messages.

{Yes please.}

I started to walk again but stopped and clutched my hand to my chest, I could barely breathe. Just one more block and then I could rest and eat lunch. It hurt.

The more I walked the more it hurt. Slowly I trudged down the sidewalk finally spotting Zeph's, our favorite place to eat. I arrived and managed to get the door open before falling to my knees.

I was already there. Thankfully, I had a seat with a clear view of the door. I jumped up and ran to her. "Rhema!!" I exclaimed, running to help her up... well, pick her up is more like it. Which I did, bridal style. "You okay?"

"I think so, my chest just started to feel weird on the way here so... I dunno." I was thankful for the cool air inside the restaurant and the seat and the fact that Kyle was right there to pick me up. While in his arms I gave him a tired smirk and snapped a picture of him with my phone.

I grinned and, I don't know what brought it on, but I bent forward and kissed her cheek softly before gently setting her on the bench. "Your Sprite is here."

"Mmm, yummy." I was so numb from that kiss already, it had only been a small kiss but it had such an impact. I looked at him and smiled, he had already stolen my heart before but that kiss had finished the job.

"I'm feeling better now." I announced as our cheese sticks were arriving.

I grinned again. "Great!! Um... I know this is really sudden... but I was wondering if... maybe you'd like to date me?"

I looked at him with part of a cheese stick poking out of my mouth and that was when I wished I hadn't even gone to take a bite. A perfectly good and romantic moment was ruined.

It dropped back onto my small plate and I had trouble forcing back a bit of a smile.

"You really want to go steady?" I asked in disbelief, but I was excited. I was about to burst with excitement. "I... I would love that."

"Ah, really? I mean, th-that's great! That's great! But I... I need a picture of you. My phone needs a new wallpaper anyway." I was still smiling like an idiot... but every time I did, she seemed to smile brighter... so that made me feel better.

I smiled warmly so he could get the perfect picture but then I smiled even bigger as a surprise for the camera. Today, despite my run in with mysterious chest pains, had so far been perfect! There was still so much we had to get past though.

First thing on the agenda?

Finish lunch.

I laughed when I saw the end result of the picture. "This is a beautiful picture, but it doesn't do you much justice..." I set it as my wallpaper anyway though. "Perfect..."

"I see, well that's fine!" I picked up my phone and did the same, I loved looking at him, he was amazing and even more so in person.

We ate lunch together and before we knew what hit us it was time to get back to classes. I hated to leave him and even debated on switching schools.

Though I wasn't sure how well that would go over with daddy. >.>

I hugged her tighter than usual. I really didn't want to go, or want her to go. "I'll see you later?" I frowned. I didn't like leaving at all.

"Yeah, definitely!" As we left our favorite place it felt like eternity before I'd see him again. But that night, about two hours before dinner Mom talked to me.

"Invite him over! It's spaghetti night after all, I want to meet that boy!"

So I called.

"Do you mind to make a detour and come over?" I asked nervously, "Mom wants to meet you and it's spaghetti night, I hope you're craving it!"

"Ah... one sec..." I said softly before sticking my head inside and setting my things by the door. "Mom... I'm going to eat dinner with Rhema's family! I'll be back later!" I shut the door, then began heading her way. "I am on my way, Beautiful!" I smiled. Just hearing her voice made me happy. "And spaghetti is my favorite!"

As soon as I knew he was getting close I began to give him directions to my house, telling him the color of the vehicles in front and the color of the home itself. I stood outside waiting to see if I could spot him.

I was beyond excited!

"I see you." I said with a grin before hanging up the phone and running to her until she was in my arms again. I picked her up and spun her in a circle. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you more!" I cried and then that mysterious pain returned, I pretended it wasn't there though and just decided to drag him inside. I could already smell spaghetti.

"Dad will be home from work soon." I said then Mom came out.

"Oh my, isn't he handsome?!" She called.

"You're welcome! My name is Hanna!" She came over and shook his free hand and within a blink the door opened and there stood dad, tall, dark haired dad with a serious look on his face.

"What's all this?"

I turned but before I could say anything Dad approached Kyle and studied him closely. "Really, daughter of mine? You couldn't bring home someone taller than this?"

I was five one. He was taller than me. O3O
