I grinned, "Okay!" So we started to run across the street and somewhere towards the sidewalk my feet slipped right out from under me and I landed hard on my bottom, sliding forwards a little until my feet touched the sidewalk.

And there I sat. In shock.

I stifled a laugh... she was was actually really cute, sitting like that. "A-Are you okay? I'm sorry, I wasn't quick enough to catch you..." I reached down though and picked her up, setting her on the sidewalk. "You should be a little more careful next time..." I smiled warmly at her. It was hard not to with such a cute face! >.<;;

"I'm fine, my butt is wet though... don't look!" I quickly pulled my shirt down to cover my backside and then went into the restaurant to get a table before he could see anything. >.<;;;;;;;

I laughed at that, actually... well, chuckled. I followed her in and sat across from her and we ordered our drinks. "If you need to go to the bathroom to dry you butt off, if you need to. I grinned. It was getting easier to talk to her for some reason.

"No, I'm fine." I was a little embarrassed but he didn't seem to be too bothered by anything so I decided I wouldn't be either. A waiter came and I ordered something fairly cheap so it wouldn't burn a hole through his wallet.

I ordered something too and was surprised at how cheaply she ordered. I did get an appetizer though... for her mostly. "I-I wasn't sure, but I thought you might like cheese sticks..."

"Cheese sticks are yummy!" I grinned, those were actually my favorite appetizers. I did order a sprite on the side so that would fill me up a little until dessert.

"Oh good!" I let released a sigh of relief. "I was hoping you would. They're the fastest appetizer on the menu... I can hear your stomach growling..." I laughed. "And it's funny because mine is growling in time with it!"

And we were absolutely perfect for each other.

I laughed softly and sipped at my sprite. There was this insane feeling of butterflies in my stomach as I looked at him. Why hadn't we met sooner than this?

"Ha, cool! I'm a senior in Rehobeth... our schools aren't that far away from each other. Want to have lunch together one day?" I asked, hoping there would be a yes... but maybe she hadn't decided yet? Maybe I asked too soon?

"That sounds great!" I replied eagerly, "Let's make this our place, this is our place from now on!" I grinned.

"Our place"? Did that mean... this was a date? I nodded. "Y-Yeah! Yes! This is ours from now on!" I grinned. "You have my number now, so... whenever you want to have lunch, just text me since I'll be in class, okay?"

I nodded quickly, "Oh right! I do have your number now... let me add the name to it." I went through and then realized I didn't know his last name yet, "Kyle? What's your last name? Mine is Embers."

I pulled my phone out to replace her name. "Oh, um, Harrison. Rhema, right?"

"Yup, Rhema." I smiled softly as I rested my elbows on the table, "Rhema Adel Embers." I was already head over heels.

I blushed and looked away with a small smile on my face. He was already someone I'd dreamed of meeting and I knew he was it. I just knew it.

"Don't mention it! I meant it!" I grinned and our food came soon after. "Yes! Finally!" My stomach growled loudly.

I felt myself slip into a daze as I looked at him, I tried to eat but my heart was racing and I hadn't ever felt this way before. I climbed back out and started to eat normally so I wouldn't freak him out.

"I know it looks delicious!"

"It does!" I rarely lost my appetite, but I was close now. This girl... I think she already had me wrapped around her finger. I took a bite of food, just because I knew I needed to eat.

Time passed and we talked almost every night for a month, I never could sleep those nights because he made my heart leap so easily, all I could do was smile and watch the time as I waited to get tired and fall asleep.

We planned a lunch date, our schools were not far at all and it was easy to go in between them and just eat at our favorite restaurant.

{It's almost lunch time!} I texted eagerly.

I grinned at the text and my friends leaned over to read it. Actually, class was over... we were just waiting for the bell to ring. "Rhema Embers? Do you have a girlfriend or something?"

"N-Not yet... but maybe soon." I replied nervously.

"Not yet? But you've been disappearing almost every day at lunch. It's her you're seeing, right?"

I nodded. "Yeah, and I'm planning to ask her out today too."

"Wow... really? This'll be your first girlfriend."

"Yeah, and hopefully last. She's... wonderful. Everything I could ever ask for."

"Cute?"

"Unbelievably! Especially when she eats ice cream. I just... I can't help it. I think I love her. I look forward to these lunches every day. She is... amazing."

"Dude... I think hearts are floating out of your ears..."

"Oooh, has he texted back yet?" Jamie asked, a few other girls were sitting around too.

"Not yet, he's probably getting ready to leave, as I should be as well." I replied, letting the strap of my purse land gently on my shoulder.

"Handsome?"

"Dashing."

"Ooh, get a picture today! I want to see him!"

"You bet I will, he's amazing. It's not even his looks so much as I love his personality and his voice, he's everything I've ever dreamed of and more!"
