Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Okay." I grinned, "Then I'll just look like a tye dyed hippie and you have to go out in public with me so it's not so bad. The joke is on you, love."
Mary cut in though.
"You've got a beautiful baby girl!" She said over us.

"Oh, yay!" I then turned back to him. "Just you wait! I will do something horrible to you! Just you wait! D<"
I then turned back to Mary and smiled, regrouping my thoughts before...
"EEE!!!! A baby girl!!! Yay!!!!"

Re: And he doesn't even know...
"I knew it." I was relaxed after that but then I sat up straight, "Wait, does she have all her fingers? Toes? Are her eyes in the right places?"
"Yes yes, Mr. Karson. You have nothing to worry about!"
I was a first time dad slash worry wart. >|

Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Me neither! So who is naming her?" I asked, though I figured there were probably better times to discuss our daughter's name.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Nah, she got her pre-birth name from me, you get to name her for real." I smiled. Mary seemed confused and I said, "She's not born yet and we didn't know what she was so I called her Beanie..."
"Ooooh." She replied.
"Ooooh." She replied.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"That's perfect." I grinned, so it was settled her name would be Lauree Samantha Karson. <3 I loved it. It rolled off my tongue perfectly.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Of course I am!" I smiled, "Unless you think there's something that might fit better?" I asked, and this was after we got the printed picture and left the hospital.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"I never thought of a middle name..." I admitted slowly, hand draped lazily over my protruding stomach.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Well Samantha it is!" It was absolutely perfect and I was absolutely pleased that everything having to do with the baby was going so well.
That was until about two weeks later when my car decided to kick the bucket and I broke my arm in an accident.

Re: And he doesn't even know...
And I got a call from the hospital. "Is this Mrs. Kelly? Samantha Kelly?"
I frowned. "Yes? What do you need?"
"I have your fiance here. He broke his arm in an accident today and we need you here."
"He did WHAT?!"
I frowned. "Yes? What do you need?"

Not just broken, my shoulder was out of socket and I couldn't move my fingers at all. It was the worst thing ever.
"He was drunk, he got out and apologized holding a bottle of-"
My shoulder cracked, "Now's not the time to complain." A nurse sighed.

"No Ma'am, the driver that hit him was drunk."
I'd never touched a bottle of alcohol, ever. I refused to drink the stuff especially with impending fatherhood and such. I hated that she actually would think that I'd ever get drunk and I could hear her just fine.

Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Good! I'd never forgive him if he was! I'll be there in a bit!" I hung up the phone, grabbed my cell, and waddled out of the house, down the stairs and down to the bus stop.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
I couldn't feel the left side of my face and I was starting to feel nauseous and it only got worse when I realized my fiancee and best friend Sammy would be here in a matter of moments.
I looked like a walking nightmare. T-T

Re: And he doesn't even know...
I waddled to the elevator, and to the room which they directed me and walked right in. I gaped. "Will!!" I waddled quickly to his side, unhappy with how he looked.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
The left side of my face was cut up and I could barely open my eye and my ear was ringing. I couldn't move my fingers because my arm was broken and my ribs were hurting on that side. I'd thrown up twice since they'd made the call.
"I'm sorry..." I hated this and it was going to make our situation worse.

Re: And he doesn't even know...
I frowned deeply. "Who did this? Is he in the room next to you?! I'm going to give him a piece of my mind!" I started waddling off toward the door.
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"The police talked to him because he came out to apologize... but I couldn't understand with him slurring." I laid back, exhausted.
"He's not too badly hurt but he'll be sore for a good long while." the nurse said.

Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Who drinks this early in the morning, anyway?!" I threw my hands up exasperatedly. "If I had been there, that guy would not be in this time zone anymore!"
Re: And he doesn't even know...
"Calm down, Sammy-o..." I said tiredly, I was doing my best to not create a reason to use my inhaler. My chest felt tight as is.
